Amen yes sadly dear it it time for breast cancer to end. Hopefully it will be a thing of the past. For anyone who has suffered or knows someone personal my heart and prayers are there.... Peace.. .Catherine

My mom, my aunt, my cousin, and most recently this past May, my sister have all been diagnosed with breast cancer. My sister is just finishing her post-chemo radiation. She is only 50 years old.
My sister was negative for the BRACA gene, but for some reason, this hits our family hard. It has been like waiting for the other shoe to drop, waiting to see if I will also be affected. I am very diligent about my mammograms and breasts exams, and treatment has come a long way over the years, so there is hope. My prayers are also with everyone affected by this disease.

Just went for my mammogram and sonogram yesterday (been putting it off for so long)

Wasn't as bad as I heard it was

my grandmother (father's mother) and my aunt (father's sister) both had breast cancer



Now........I hope I don't get blasted for this:

I think breast cancer awareness is a WONDERFUL thing, but why is it mainly the only cancer we hear about? Everywhere you go, there is "pink"....
Again, I do believe it is a wonderful cause but there are other cancers out there

*Please don't blast me, I guess I am just sensitive - I was recently diagnosed with thyroid cancer (thank goodness all is well), and I just lost my sister in August (so it's still very fresh) to lung cancer*
