I'm embarrassed - but only person who saw me was my mom. I fell on BOTH knees - so they are both scraped and bruised up. My hands are a little scraped. And I buggered up my new pedicure on my big toe - glad I took my own polish to the salon so I can fix tonight! My knees hurt the worst - awful aching going on there.

I took a really bad fall last year. My advice is to start taking Ibuprofen now, and keep moving as much as possible. Use ice or heat - whatever feels better to you.

I hate to tell you that as bad as you feel right now, it will be much worse tomorrow, especially if you don't keep moving.

Oh I know it will be sore for a while. I just took some ibuprofen and I'm at work so I will be moving. I am looking forward to the couch tonight though. I'm such a klutz. DH better have some sympathy for me tonight!

I agree that tomorrow will be MUCH worse. I fell in a garden store and while it only hurt a little then (with much embarrassment), it hurt much more at home and OM goodness the next morning, it was so hard to move. I think it is the shock as well as all the bumps and scrapes.
Take it easy, and take lots of ibuprofen.

I hope you're feeling better soon. I fell UP the stairs once at work -- very embarrasing! There were several witnesses to that little display. When I finally got to my feet, I said, "just call me Grace" and kept on going. It hurt a lot but my ego was bruised most of all.

I will bet that your little accident showed up on some security camera especially if you were in or near a shopping area.

When ever I fall I try to relax as I do...kinda like a drunk would... it works so far (knock wood) It's hard to learn to do, but it helps!

I was on the concrete before I even realized what was happening! Man I am sore. Tomorrow morning is not gonna be pretty!

Poor thing. This happened to my mom once when she and my dad were on vacation in Florida. She took a bad fall over a curb in a parking lot, there was alot of blood from her nose . An ambulance came, and the police, who questioned my dad in case it was domestic violence!

I took a fall on a sidewalk a couple years ago. I was so embarassed. I was carrying a takeout pizza out of the restaurant and stepped on an ice patch where during the day it had melted and dripped off the roof, then in the evening had refrozen on the sidewalk. I scraped both my knees, ripped a hole in the knee of my favorite jeans and scraped my knuckles since I had my hands holding the pizza box. I was so embarrassed. I'm sure everyone sitting inside near the window saw me. I just got up and got the heck out of there.
