Exclamation Watch the stock market real close today.

If we do anything close to how asiaian stocks did we may be in some trouble. Sorry I am not wanting to scare but japan's nikkei index went down 11.41% this is really not looking good. Here is a link of the charts.

Yahoo! Finance

I really hope my feelings are wrong but this just does not feel right.

Yes, it's scary. I'm watching my retirement account keep dwindling...... Luckily I won't need it for 10 years so I have hope!

I don't look. I won't feed into the fear. Are times crazy? Sure but when people freak out and pull their money out, it only makes the problem worse. The stock market is about riding the tide...good times with the bad. Ride out the bad times and wait for the good to pull out your funds. Any "gains" or "losses" are truely artificial unless your pulling out your money right now for retirement. If the investments were made with good companies at fair (not ballooned) prices, you should still have a gain from what you started with if you placed it in 10 years ago. Now, it may not be the value it was last year or last month but it's true "value" isn't ascertained until you pull it out.

This too shall pass...

We've lost about 50% of our money since June. Not like we had much in there to begin with, but still.

We've got 35+ years till retirement so we won't need it for awhile.
