My DH and I are having a halloween potluck. There will only be adults so we are wondering what kind of games adults can play? I am hoping this board can help!!

Will it be inside or outside?

I just had an outside picnic last week where we played games, and the two most popular were the water balloon toss, and "What's the message".

The water balloon toss is obvious, I guess.

What's the message is played like this: You need two sentences with the same amount of words as the number of players. I used six word sentences, which means each game needed 12 players because you need two teams for each round. You could use five word sentences, so then you would need 10 players. You make up whatever sentences you want, I guess you would want something Halloween related. Something like "Goblins eat small tasty children" for one team, and "Witches brew smelly potions nightly" for the other team. Beforehand you would print the words fairly large on paper, cut the words out, and then you tape one word on each player's back. The players on each team have to hold hands or link arms for the entire game. The object is for each team to see the word's on the other team's backs, and whichever team figures out the other team's sentence first wins. Don't tape the words in order on the player's backs - mix them up so the words are out of order - makes it a little more difficult. This game was really popular and I wish I had made up more sentences because we could have played this for a long time. The most time consuming part is taping the words on each player for each round.
