So we're moving things out of the truck into the house with the help of one of oldest sons friends when one of our new neighbors stops by. she apolgizes for not b ringing cookies or something to welcome us but her son <1st grade> wanted to meet the new kids. so we talk and shes really and all then she has to get back home and throw something together for dinner.... thanks fine we really want to finish with the truck and be able to sit down and relax for a bit since we've been on the go since friday.
so anyway what happens, she leaves her 1st grader here while she goes back home. he's an ok kid and all but I dont really know him and certainly didnt really need to watch him that day and she had no idea what kind of people we are either. he did get along well with my 5 year old.


Oh and then I was coming back from the store, the street in front of the house is kinda busy and even though speed limit is 25 no one seems to go that. I'm on the way back, almost to the house, theres a side street that had kids in a dune buggy and a 4 wheeler, good thing I was going the speed limit cause they zipped right out in front of me I honked and either it dawned on them that yeah there's a car coming or was just suprised about the honk at them. and not one of the 4 kids <2 in buggy 2 on 4 wheeler> was wearing a helmet


I've put away the linens I think I'm ready for a nap! lol

sounds like unless you figure something out you have a new kid that will be hanging around. The not wearing a helmet thing you will probably see all the time, around here you never see anybody with a helmet on.

OMG.. for her to do that shocks me...for so many reasons.

I guess you know now to avoid her since she strikes me as someone who will take advantage. I mean who needs to babysit a stranger's kid when you are so busy moving ...and she can't see that.

That is quite odd, but after moving into a neighborhood where we were only greeted a month later and it was basically a do you want to carpool introduction I would trade places with you.
