Is there a way to get less junk snail mail?

Is there somewhere to contact in order to get less junk snail mail? I want to sign up somewhere that is legitimate so that we don't end up getting even more junk!

Has anyone ever tried calling catalog companies to ask to be removed from their mailing lists? I anticipate a lot of catalogs in the next few months. Sigh.

Such a waste of paper as they go straight to the trash can.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Yes, if you call and ask them to stop, they usually do. But they'll tell you that the next three issues are already in process, so you'll probably get 3 more.

Another thing you can try, is catalogchoice.org. I'm signed up with them and they do seem to be legit.

Open it, write unsolicited with an "X" through your naz, and then stuff it all back in their prepaid envelope.

Shoot, put some more trash in it. Less to carry to the curb ! lol

Here is a link where you can get those catalogs stopped. It does work, but takes about 6-8 weeks till you really notice a difference.
