O.K..it seems we have enough interest to go ahead and do a winter secret buddy exchange. So...if you are interested in doing this, please pm me with the following information:

Family members names that you want to include..and if there are children please include their ages/gender.
Address
A list of likes/dislikes. This could be as a whole family, or you could list each individuals.

Please let me know what December holidays you celebrate or if you don't celebrate any. This is not necessarily a holiday exchange, so everyone is invited to join.

I am going to ask just one thing...PLEASE make sure if you sign up that you DO mail a package out. The last adult exchange had some problems with packages not being received. After that, we decided that it would be a good idea to get some kind of delivery confirmation for your package.

Sign up by Tuesday, November 11th. I will assign names and send them to you on the 12th.

Packages should be mailed no EARLIER than December 1st and no LATER than December 8th, so that everyone gets a package in December.

Hey, since this would be a family exchange, how much should be spent on the packages? Still $10? Just curious...trying to decide if I can swing it right now. My girls and I love doing the exchanges but I need to make sure I can actually do it before committing to it.

You know..after I posted this thread, I realized that I didn't put a $ amount in the post. I got to thinking...is $10 enough? But I keep thinking how high shipping costs are...and everyone is so good about putting together wonderful boxes that I don't think I'm going to up the amount. So I think, for this exchange we will keep the $10 minimum(box contents must be worth at least $10...shipping is extra) and that everyone can use their own discretion. I know some people go way over that amount and other people are really good at finding incredible bargains. I think as long as you feel your buddy will be happy with the box that you put together...then as long as it fits the minimum it should be just fine.

If anyone has any other opinions, please let me know. I'm always open to suggestions.
