Well of course I have always said doing the laundry.. But what I am also asking is is there anything you hate to touch when cleaning. For me its these items
A brillo pad just the touch yuck yuck
A used wet rag that has food on it yuck yuck
The smell of bleach if it gets on my hands.... so share .. peace to all ,,, Catherine

Catherine.....I need to come to your house because I love to do laundry and I love the smell of bleach, even if it is on my hands. I've never touched a brillo pad, maybe I wouldn't mind iit.

My big dread is cleaning the fronts of the kitchen cabinets,

I hate it when I've cleaned the house and them my dd's get home from school, kick off their shoes, throw their jackets & backpacks wherever they land and then ipods, laptops, snacks & homework fly everywhere and it doesn't look like I did anything at all.

Cleaning the bathroom ~ esp. the toliets! Yuck!!

ok twalthers come on over and help me the laundry I hate doing the laundry espcially socks they are the worst. While I do soak all my whites in bleach over nite and love the way they look so clean and white, I still hate the smell of bleach on my hands. Did you know my mom from a past life time. She worked in a laundrymat from the time she was 15 till she retired at 64.. While she is sick now and my dad does the laundry, she still gives orders about how it all should be done... Literally years ago when she was able to move around more, whenever she came to my house I would have to hide some laundry, because she would always hate to see dirty laundry.. To funny . However fabric softner and sheets I love them and more then that. While I do not doing the laundry I do love to hand out clothes in the dead of winter, the cold cold air makes the clothes smell soooooooo wonderful better then any fabric softner... Peace... Well, I have to agree about the toilets. It's a dirty job.


I, too, love the smell of bleach, and ammonia, but not on my hands (why I wear gloves). I kind of do not enjoy laundry, but it has to be done. Another non-enjoyable......cleaning the tile in my entryway, which always seem to be worse than it should be.

we live in the country and are being invaded! I spray around the doors and windows so when they do come in they die!
I keep a hand held vacuum next to the front door and I vacuum up dozens every day!

toilets and laundry. I don't mind washing and folding, it is putting away that drives me crazy! Also... I hate it when I tell the kids to clean thier room, well I find most of thier stuff pushed under the bed hidden by a bedskirt and they have no idea how it got there!

Cleaning soap scum in the showers!!! OMG I just cleaned the bathrooms today and my arms actually hurts from scrubbing the showers.

And the toilets are actually fine with me, it'doesn't take much effort, it's more of a yuck with them and you're done, but the shower takes FOREVER!

Try using Mister Clean Magic eraser on the soap scum. You'll be amazed. No cleanser, just use that.

I hate touching wet rags with food on them, too. Also, the strainer in the sink, if it has food in it....YUKKKKK!!!

Doing the right thing isn't always the same as doing the easy thing.

Nothing bothers me too much but I don't do it all. I don't mind doing the laundry at all. It's a 5 minute process. It's the putting away that bothers me. I don't put away anyone's laundry but mine. So, DH's stack get taller and taller until it almost falls. My kids have bins and their bins are currently overflowing. They come into the laundry room half naked looking for clothes. That bothers me but I refuse to put away their stuff. That means they win. It's the one war I fight and refuse to back down. I don't mind toilets...but then again my 9 year old likes to clean them for $2 each so money well spent I don't have any bleach....don't use it in my house and my whites are white enough for my liking. I hate the smell of bleach....reminds me of a hospital. I guess the worst would be dusting. It doesn't matter if I dust or not because the next day there is dust again. We live in a dry climate and it seems that the dust accumulates rapidly. It's like "didn't I dust yesterday?"..LOL

exactly I do not mind doing the laundry its the putting away, although now as my kids are older I still will do the wash, but each one has their own basket. So I will put the clean clothes in the basket and they put their own laundry away... I also hate when food gets caught in the drain and I have to put gloves on to get it out, yuck yuck... Cleaning toilet bowls now I love the dow srubber pads with the handle so much easier,,, Does anyone watch the show with the 2 english ladies who go to houses where people are soooooooooo dirty.. While I will admit who truly loves to keep a house clean its hard work, but some of those homes omg I would die.. Especially their bedrooms how could anyone sleep in those beds...Peace.. Catherine

I get tired of laundry but only do it once a week so that feels more manageable then daily, like many people do.

I like the smell of bleach. Doesn't soaking clothes over night break down the cotton/elastic?

I hate cleaning out heater vents,cough cough.
I hate cleaning window blinds, and I hate washing my curtains because they wrinkle and then I have to iron them and thats the biggest pita of all!
Oh, and lets not forget the oven!

Funny you should ask that I have been spending the last three days (besides work time) cleaning and organizing my whole house. The worst part for me is moving the furniture to clean around and under it. We live in the country and have laminate floors there are no sidewalks so every leave, pebble, piece of grass, dirt, etc comes into the house.
That is the worst because it goes on and on and on. If I vacuumed or broomed three times a day it still would not be enough.

Dusting - When I moved to Arizona a nice lady told me I could dust once a day or shovel once a week. I subscribe to the bulldoze once a month club.

Window Blinds - see dusting

Vacumning - with animals and living in the country like the above poster, it seems like I am always vacumning.

Now here's the strange thing. I love doing dishes - by hand. And I hang out all of my laundry except my smalls and it is a pleasure. Weird huh?

I must be in the minority, I don't mind doing toilets. Actually it bothers me if they aren't done.. lol

But my top three are:

Laundry. Hate it. I don't mind putting it in the washer and dryer, but from there on out is the worst chore for me.

Dishes: I have always hated doing them

Vacuuming.. ugh.

Okay, sounds like I hate cleaning.. probably right. LOL

Ohhgodd- me too!! I clean the bathroom everyday! My bathrooms are the cleanest place in my entire house. I like to use the Swiffer Wet with Febreze. "Nothing says 'I love you' like a clean toilet to puke in." And since you never know when you are going to puke (and you don't want to be cleaning toilets when you are puking) I keep the bathroom VERY clean.

My down falls are putting away the laundry and clutter. I have so much clutter it depresses me.

I hate dusting the most. Because with 3 dogs and 2 cats, the dust is right back there. I don't mind vacuuming (see animal hair) but the fact that I could do it constantly all day long, and still have hair on the floor drives me nuts.
I like to wash dishes, don't mind doing the bathroom, and don't mind laundry.
