I Love Shoes but the Prices at DSW!

DSW opened in Eugene. I went there yesterday. For some reason I thought it was "discount shoe warehouse" when it's "designer" not "discount". I almost fell over when I saw the prices. And there are no discounts other than $10 bonus dollars for DSW for every $50 your spend.

I walked around and people were trying on stuff. I muttered "never pay retail" as I walked out.

Sheesh I don't understand paying full price for anything and this is ridiculous.

Give them time to set up the big clearance section in the back. You can score some amazing deals on really good shoes. Sign up for their rewards program too, they send discounts regularly. I love DSW!

they have some really good deals on a lot of shoes. Granted, many are "designer" and although their prices are less than what you would pay at say Macy's, it's still WAY above my budget for shoes. Once they have clearance, it's got lots of good deals. Their prices are already discounted from MSRP. Sometimes it's a good deal and sometimes it's not. I'm not "into" designer shoes so getting a pair of name brand shoes for $75 instead of $150 isn't a good deal when I can get an off brand at Kohl's for under $50 on sale. Whether or not you like them depends on how you like your shoes They DO have many more wide width shoes than most stores so that's a big reason I like to cruise in every once in awhile.

Shoes at DSW: Shop 1000s of Women's Shoes, Men's Shoes and Boots.

It's a big designer shoe and purse store. Here is the online one.

I will wait to see what Clarence has to offer. It may still be too rich for my blood.

Clearance is worth checking out. Plus I can usually get a nice deal on good sneakers. BUT the best deal is, you can STACK COUPONS!!! You can use more than one....they take as many as 3 at a time. Once my DH had found 3 of them and one was $20 off $50 and then he found 2 $10 off $50 --- so the cost of the $50 shoes were $10. Now that's a deal.
Coupons are mailed to you on your birthday and such. Everyone in the family can sign up.

Our DSW is next to a TJMaxx. I have found shoes in TJM for $30 that were selling at DSW for $70! I don't even go in DSW anymore.

I LOVE DSW!!! I buy all my shoes for work there. Duckhead, Clarks, Born....gotta have comfy shoes and I don't care about the cost. I also love the store because they sell Coach shoes. I missed out on a pair of Coach sneakers this summer and happened to find them at a DSW last month. Although DSW's prices on Coach are very similiar to Macy's.
I'm signed up with the rewards program, but I'll have to check into the bday cpn.
