Appliance Color?

What color appliance do you have. What is your favorite color appliance.

black and stainless. I wouldn't buy anything that wasn't black or stainless for an area like the kitchen. For my laundry, they are white. I didn't see any need to pay a lot more for a "color" when it's just a laundry machine and it's not like company is looking at it

IMHO, you still can't go wrong with white or bisque. White gives the kitchen a timeless look. When you go with the trendy colors, it shows the age of the appliances. In the past those colors were coppertone, avocado, turquoise or harvest gold. And, yes, I think black and stainless will be replaced with another trendy color. I also think that black appliances make a kitchen look smaller and very closed in. That is, unless you have a very large, open and airy kitchen.

Well, I do have a very large, open and airy kitchen, but I still prefer white appliances. When we moved into our previous house, it had a black dishwasher, and I didn't care for how it looked in there.

Have you seen all the colors that washers/dryers come in now? Quite a large variety of choices.

I have all black (and a white stove..long story!! LOL)

If I had to do it again, I would go with the stainless or the black/stainless look. Much nicer, I think.

We have all stainless steel in the kitchen and I love it. In my laundry room I have white appliances because my deep freeze and extra refrigerator are in there and they are white, as well as my cabinetry. I thought about getting a blue or red washer and dryer but just for the color it would be an additional $800. I decided I could live with white, and then all of my laundry room appliances match.

White for me too! Stainless looks nice but I hate how it shows finger prints .

I agree that colors do seem to come and go.
Another thing that changes are bath fixtures

We looked at a house that had out dated pink bath
fixtures in one and green in the other bath.
They could be replaced but it would be costly!

I will stick with White there too.

Good ol' white would be my top choice. All of our appliances are bisque which isn't bad either. It looks good with our oak cabinets. None of our appliances (or cabinets) are going anywhere and our home is very tastefully decorated, in my opinion, of course!

We're so out of the loop as far as what is 'in'!

All of mine are black. I prefer black, stainless shows fingerprints and smudges and white shows dirt too much for me.

Black is my choice also. I asked because I am buying a new stove which will be a black GE smoothtop seeing that my others are black. I think the black looks sharp. I just can't take to the stainless steel as my friends always look smudgy and very industrial looking.

I do like the black and stainless though but I have a very open floor plan and I just feel like a brass accent chandelier and light fixtures trimmed in brass clash with the silvery stainless.

My sister has the white which I like but can't use with my present counters.
Well was just curious if black is still popular or not.

My appliances are all black. The house came with a black double oven and black dishwasher, so it was pretty much a no-brainer on the color of the refrigerator we bought. At our old house we had all white applicances (again, thanks to the builder). Personally, I like black because its timeless and upscale looking.

My washer & dryer are white. I really wanted a color set, but DH didn't want to pay more just for color that would probably look dated before the set wore out.

Grannyshirl....were you looking in my windows??? I have a pink tub and sink in one bathroom...and green in the other.
We've replaced the toilets with white.

I agree that black and stainless are trendy and will most likely look outdated after a while. I'll stick with white.

This is the house next door to me and I wish that YOU lived there instead of the people who moved in, LOL

I will be nice and just say they are "different'

We are slowly but surely replacing white appliances with black and stainless. The all-stainless is too industrial or clinical looking for me; but I like it OK with some black.

I love the new colors available for washers & dryers....but probably wouldn't pay the extra.

I am really surprised with all the "white appliance" responses. I hate white appliances and always have. In our last house, we had to drop our price significantly when we sold because our appliances were white and we weren't willing to upgrade them to stainless. It's hard to sell a house around here with white appliances unless it's under $200K.

Had Bisque, now Stainess and Black. Do not care for the Black. Stainless is fine.

Mine are all bisque. I like it. I worked in too many fast food places as a teenager and had to endlessly clean stainless. . .lol! I think that's why I don't want it now. I do think it looks nice though. Black can be nice in the right kitchen too. But I think I will stick with bisque though.

We have bisque. Our main floor is all open plan, so the kitchen has to tie in with the other rooms. The living/dining rooms are suede and burgundy with cream trim, so we continued the trim color into the kitchen.
