If the two pop ups were not from your antivirus program, they are more than likely just trying to get you to buy their programs. Worse, they could be viruses themselves, Don't click on these links. Run your own anti virus.

The best thing to do now is to go here and download the program. It catches the fake malware cleaner crap and cleans it out if it's on your system.

Be careful with the Malwarebyte software.A friend from the Rewards Programs board used this when she caught a virus from one of those PTR sites and it deleted a file that caused her to be unable to get back into Windows. Its a very aggresive virus cleaner.

Odd, I've never had a problem with it. It always gives me the option to delete, leave or ignore what it's found. If I'm not sure of something I just google it to see if it's safe to remove or leave. It also has a quarantine choice in case you need to restore anything.

Yes, I've never had a problem with it either, but it your unsure as to what to delete it could mess things up.The quarantine would be useless if you are unable to boot back into Windows or safe mode.
