I remember reading it years ago.. I had to be about 17 or so I am 41 now.

I THOUGHT the title was "The Wild Thing" or something similar. I have searched for it and came up with nothing.

I can tell you what I remember about it.
It was about a young girl, who was about 14 or 16 and she was living in a state run home or something...she hated it there and planned on running away and living in the mountains, which she did. She lived in a cave, from time to time she would go down into the town and break into people's homes and steal food, like potatoes and onions etc.. and she taught herself to trap rabbits for food and fur...
A young man hiking hurt himself near her cave.. she took care of him.. and umm.. ahem.. they had an affair and she had a baby....

That's about all I can remember.. it's a very good book and I'm sure my memory is fuzzy.

I sometimes find the names of books by googling a bit of what I know about it..like for instance, google teen girl in woods, runaways, get pregnant, etc..sometimes it helps..

I do rememebr this book. However I can not for the LIFE of me think of the title....

There is this place called Loganberry Books online they have a stump the bookseller thing you might be able to get the information there.

If It weren't cold and I didnt have about 30 boxes to get through plus a few toolboxes to move I would go out after it because I am positive its the same book I have
