| I saw that the Rosie show was a bomb
I looked for the previous thread in which we commented about watching it or not. I was interested to see the almost universally negative opinion of her here....and obviously that showed in the ratings for the show. What is surprising is that whoever put up the money for that show didn't check first and see what American thought of her.

I used to like Rosie, but I can't stand her any more. She has such an inflated ego and sense of self importance. I had no interest in watching her show and am not sad (or suprised, actually) to hear that it bombed. I think a lot of people are over her. Lisa

After reading her book I have come to the conclusion that Rosie is a big mouthed spoiled brat who cannot even to begin to comprehend an opinion that differs from hers.

Again as far as Rosie is concerned, I personally feel she is burned out and seriously needs to take some much needed time away from the spotlight. As I stated before I truly did like her very much. But lately she has picked fights with so many people and has said some mean-spirited things to the point where it makes you sick. I think personally when she had her own show years back, she held back so many things, and when she left, she admitted all and everything.I personally feel she is harbouring alot of hatred and anger and needs to sit back and reflect on her life. Perhaps in time, things will change for her, only time will tell.... Catherine

I watched the show, cringing all the while. I like Rosie, but this show was horrible. Posters here don't like the fact that Rosie is outspoken.....but lots of those same posters here have no problems being outspoken themselves. What is good for the goose, is good for the gander, so to speak. Don't like her, don't watch, but don't censor her. Just like you can put anyone here you don't want to hear/read, just put them on ignore.

I liked Rosie as an actress back when what she did was show up in movies. Then somewhere along the way, she became a blabbermouthed loudmouth with a chip on her shoulder whose only real use of the opportunities created by her fame (which was a result of her acting) was the acting of spouting and spitting at people who don't agree with her - somewhat like a stark raving lunatic. There are lots of people who hold views similar to hers who aren't nasty and can have a civil discussion. Not Rosie - she's all about the hate. And nobody, apparently, wants to watch that. |

I am not sure where this is coming from, or why...but the point I see people making about Rosie....myself included...is that she did a 180 on the personality she displayed to the public. When she had her show( about the time she was popular and well liked) she actually called herself THE QUEEN OF NICE. ..I guess holding herself up as a model in contrast to some of the more abrasive show hosts. Either that was totally fake or the real Rosie was hidden deep down just waiting for therapy to release her, Once the show was over, she became not just out spoken....but rude and close-minded.

As far as Rosie's personal views being a left winged liberal democrat, so I am , there are alot of things that Rosie believe's in and so do I however, lately I totally believe she has gone way over board with her views to the point of fighting with so many people >Like I said before I totally loved her show and always thought she was so funny so real, so honest. I do not get those feelings from her anymore, Again I personally think she needs a break away from the spot light and be more focused on her personal life.I do wish her well for remembering the old Rosie.... Peace.. CAtherine

There is *plenty* to dislike about Rosie, and being "outspoken" doesn't factor in at all for me. I do find Rosie to be obnoxious, cruel, self-centered, and overall unlikeable. And I was once a big fan - even while she was still "outspoken." (nice euphemism, though! )

Exactly my words Devinmom, even when Rosie was out spoken in the past about certain views or subjects, me and Rosie shared I liked her very much. HOwever lately her rudeness and going over the top in her personal views have gotten out of hand. Also to the other poster, you are right as well, if we do not like her now, we can choose to watch her or not.But you must admit she did at one time have a huge audience following and many millions of viewers for her television show and sadly some people have just had enough of her for now... Peace.. Catherine
