Omg I cannot believe it, what a wonderful early Christmas present for our whole family. We just got back and found out the wonderful news. We all kinda thought she was, she did gain some weight and I could feel and see her belly moving. This will be her second litter. The first was almost 2 years ago and she only had one puppy,her dd Sunny. However they did a ultrasound and said there are two puppies in there. I am beaming from ear to ear. You see I simply love shelties and we were thinking of getting another after the holidays, but this is so much more special, to have Sunshine and Simba's babies. My shelties are on the small side size wise. Even more so Simba the dad is really tiny, he is 13 lbs full grown, while Sunshine, his wife, lol. is full grown at 19 lbs. Anyhow they have been together for now 4 years and after almost 2 years we thought it would not happen. The vets said it was because he was so much smaller then her. Anyway like I said almost 2 years ago 2/6/07 Sunshine gave birth to one puppy, she was so tiny and now at 15 lbs she is bigger then her daddy. The vet said these will be small also, that okay. After she does give birth which the vets predict around the beginning or second week of January, we will have her fixed. So in keeping with the S names and anything to do with the Sun, we need some names. Of course we do not know whether it will be boys or girls, so if anyone has some names starting with a S and either anything to do with the word Sun or in commen with Simba plmk me know. How about Solar? It could be for a boy or girl. Or, in keeping with Simba, Nala for a girl.

Well we as a family tonite were talking about names and since we really want to keep the names starting with a S we all agreed on Sanibel from Sanibel Island in Florida a all time vacation spot for us. So we have one name so far.Peace in this holiday season be safe. Catherine

Actually we were playing around with the name sky, but we want to spell it skye. We also picked Sanibel because of the sunshine state of Florida. Thanks for the names and keep them coming.I cannot believe come sometime in January we will have five shelties in our home. More love to spread around. As it is now they totally dominate the den we have a huge couch that has five pillows in the middle and on each end we has two chaise couchs, so needless to say they are always with us on the couch. You know there are sometimes, when I do get to have the house to myself for a few hours, it happens sometimes. Anyhow when this does happen I love to lay on the couch and put on the music channel and when I lay down so does my shelties, sometimes I pick my head up and look at them sleeping its so sweet. Congratulations on your puppies. I love Shelties. We had one named Alexis. She died when the kids were little. She used to love to herd the kids up, play ball, and run through the house as fast as she could...skidding to a stop. We have a Golden Retriever now, but when she goes, my husband wants to get another Sheltie. Sheltie pups are the cutest puppies ever. As for names, how about Soledad? My son goes to school with a little girl named that. I think it means sun. Please post a picture of the puppies when they are born. ~Lisa
