File Attached: Update on the Paranormals and my house

I have been so busy, I have COMPLETELY forgotten to come back here and update on what all has been going on here at the house in regards to the old man in the basement, the cigar box, and the investigation.

We contacted a group out of Southern Wisconsin that came over to the house for a preliminary visit in late October. They took readings, and then came back out on November 15th to do the investigation. This team was inredibly professional and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone!
They stayed in the house from about 7pm until 2am. Nothing major happened, but when they "briefed" us when we got home, they said that each one of the team of 8 had had their own personal experience here in the house with the spirit.
That was all they would tell us, really.

They then took off in their caravan of vehicles (some were a little spooked out, I think) and they are coming over here this Saturday for what they call the "reveal" portion. This is where everything is laid out for us as to what was the results of the investigation.

It has been pretty interesting! But nothing major has happened since they have left. They were really on the up and up, and I almost feel as if something might have been accomplished.. maybe.

I will do an update after Saturday.

It's too bad it can't be televised. That would be so interesting to follow the story.

Oh how exciting!!! I love watching Ghost Hunters and since I've had several paranormal experiences over the years, I'm fascinated by this subject. Can't wait to hear about what they reveal!

I know it's a crazy time of year but I will hunt you down, find you and force you to watch a continual loop of The Gong Show reruns if you do not come back and tell us what they say at the reveal!

No Pressure.

Please keep us updated. This is quite fascinating. What exactly are you hoping to see come from all of this?

It is interesting. It may not be any of my business, but do they charge for these services?

Do they tape the 'reveal' portion? Who funds them if they don't charge the client? Or is it like one of those 'free' registry cleaners where they'll tell you the end result total but you have to pay if you want to know the specifics?

these kind of ghost hunters usually dont charge at all and no hidden fees b/c its a volunteer type of thing. The people who come in and invesigate have other full time jobs and then they do this on the side.

Well, there was no electronic evidence of any activity.

They did, however, have numerous personal experiences and they believe the house is dealing with much paranormal activity

I have the report, I have no problems sharing it with you all, it is quite interesting. I just don't know how to attach it to this thread. I can scan it, maybe put it in photobucket? Not sure if you will be able to read it though. I wish I had adobe or something of that nature.

Anyway, they feel I have another spiirit here, one that isn't so nice.
They want to come back and do a more "provoking" investigation of this not so nice "other" spirit they think we have.

Not sure if I like that idea.

But we went ahead and gave them the green light. I did ask them what if they provoke and we can't live here anymore? Are they buying my home??? LOL

If it were me, I wouldn't provoke the 'not so nice' spirit. Why borrow trouble? jmho however

I agree, igotscammed, I mean, because what will that help anything? It is not like they can get rid of it.

Toonces, it is on their dime. All of it.

As long as they are willing to come back I don't see any harm in it. I hope you figure out what's up not just for you but so these people can rest in peace.

Yes, we did. The entire time they were here. This next time, they are willing to have Tina (our houseguest) and our dog here as long as they are upstairs. They are going to concentrate on the downstairs and basement.
Let me see if I can get the file into adobe...or something...so you can read their personal experiences.

Wow, this is so much more than I expected and it seems like you have a very professional group researching for you. Hopefully they can find out why the old guy is there and send him on his way. Thanks so much for posting the report!

Sounds like experience we've had in our house over the past two years (which were parallel to previous tenants of the same house). Must be a Wisconsin thing (I was pleasantly surprised when I saw your county)! LOL!

We've just named our ghost "George" because he built this house (one of the first in this town) back in the 1860's.

That was very interesting. Thanks for sharing the report.I wonder about that entity that they think might possibly be holding the sad old man back from communicating. That would be not so nice to hear if you have become comfortable and adjusted to the old mans presence. Now, you'll be walking around the house, like .. knowing that there could possibly be something more sinister lurking.

oh, I forgot to tell you! I had said this to them when they came over, and that was when they said, "well, we wanted to talk to you about that" They said they were felt like things were just starting when they decided to pack up and leave.

So, that was when they asked if they could come back out and stay longer...

that was a very interesting read. They sound very professional and sound very much like TAPS how they try to debunk instead of thinking every little noise is paranormal. I hope next time they come they are able to figure out what all is involved in your house.

Thanks for sharing the results of the investigation. Do you plan on doing a follow-up investigation? Also curious about your true feelings regarding your live-in guest. His presence is not frightening, but just confusing and you are seeking answers? It really is fascinating.

Thanks for the posting the report, it was very interesting! It seems like the investigation was very professional and seems to follow along the lines of TAPS. I really can't get enough of stuff like this so please post updates when you experience something!!

I look forward to hearing of their next visit. The house we live in is 87 years old. We have had a few unexplained experiences here. Something on the stairs often drives my shih tzu to barking his head off. He really doesn't bark much at all. Just sometimes he stares at the stairs and barks and growls. I once heard my daughter run through the house...only my daughter wasn't in the house...no one was. DH and I heard a baby laugh one night...it was so loud and crystal clear and could not tell where it came from. It seemed to come from every where. DH is finishing the upstairs that has never been finished and he senses something up there. He won't talk about it much. I just spent a lot of time up there the past few days but pick up on nothing. I see shadows downstairs frequently and think someone is there. I don't feel frightened though. Sometimes I sense a presence, but it is not frightening either. I find it interesting.
