No...... It was 15 years with 5-6 years served before any eligibility for parole. There was NOTHING about a life sentence.

OMG.. that is WONDERFUL!!!!! Finally, justice is served. I told my dh that when we go to Hollywood/Beverly Hills over Christmas, I want to go see Bundy. I don't know why, call it morbid, but her death really impacted me and touched my heart. I wonder where she is buried.. I would love to go place flowers on her grave. |

I assume that he gets to (and will) appeal the verdict. Does he have to start his sentence while the appeal is carried out - or does he get out until the appeal is complete? cj/

sadly for the families of the victums here ,no amount of jail time would be enough. Even if they gave him a death sentence, it would not bring back Nicole or Ron Goldman to their families. I personally am happy he did receive some jail time. However I also personally feel putting him to death would be way too easy and simply the easy way out for O>J> .Personally I feel he should be locked up forever in his cell 24 hours a day, no t.v.. no priviledges, no outside contact, for the rest of his life, that would be much harder for him to deal with, which he totally deserves.Again no matter what the families members are the ones who truly suffer each and everyday without their loved ones around. He will start serving immediately! bail was denied. As I see it he does not have the money left to buy his safety in prison, I see a life sentence!. They will appeal, everyone has the right to appeal his or her conviction. (I think)

Huh? This has absolutely nothing to do with the deaths of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman. This is a sentence associated with the botched retrieval of his memorabilia and an associated "kidnapping" in Las Vegas. cj/

Also, I was in LA in 1996 and we drove by the restaurant where Ron worked. Kinda sick of us but it was on the way to some place we were going. |

Rest in peace Nicole and Ron. The other victims in this are their children. Their mother was murdered and their father is in jail.

Oh, I get that it is wonderful to see him go to jail for something and I hope he rots in there, or is treated as he treated Nicole and Ron, but I think that there has to be great care to not confuse this conviction adn sentence with the murder trial. Something nags at me that that confusion or retribution for the other deed could somehow lead him to getting off (you know, overturned because it was unfair or biased by a jury trying to get justice in the other case..) cj/

Unbiased and blind justice? This is a payback verdict. Just look at what so many people here have said; Even if they gave him a death sentence, it would not bring back Nicole or Ron Goldman to their families or is treated as he treated Nicole and Ron, Rest in peace Nicole and Ron but since he was found liable in a civil court and since most people believe he killed Ron and Nicole it's sweet justice that his ego got him in trouble for something else and he has to serve time OMG.. that is WONDERFUL!!!!! Finally, justice is served This case was not about Ron or Nicole. It had nothing to do with either of them. I would have more faith in the verdict if at least one person would have been satisfied with the verdict based on the testimony of the crime that had been committed, instead of elated because Ron adn Nicole deserved it |

Prdnme I simply loved everything you wrote in your post. Of course this case and jail time was not for the murders of Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman, however I always , always believe in fate, and while at the time , it seemed OJ got away with murder, he never did, he carried it with him all the time. His cocky attitude and the way he lived his life. It was truly only a matter of time before he would screw up again and get to serve some jail time. For me may he rot there forever. Bless those poor souls and their families... Peace. Catherine
