We all decorated the whole front of the house with beautiful red white and blue lights. I have a huge front lawn and alot of trees around. We live in a center hall colonial with a large porch. Anyhow it started snowing at 9:30 and about 11 p.m. we all went outside to take advantage of the lights and the beautiful peaceful first snowfall in the Holiday season of 2009. I cannot wait to bring the pictures to cvs tomorrow and get them back. We also took pictures with our shelties, they love love the snow and they looked so beautiful in the snow. For a moment I looked around at the house and the lights and the snowfall. It was so serene and peaceful and quiet, a true pleasure of life and how precious it all is. Peace in this holiday season. Did anyone else receive some snowfall, I sure hope you did... Peace. Catherine

It sounds picture perfect, OP! I think it TRIED to snow here (it's been too dry)...... It was either snow, or albino brain chiggers.

Not in LA, last time it snowed here was the year katrina hit, so we hope it never snows again here.

It only snows here once a year, in Jan. if we are lucky! It does seem like the world gets quiet and more peaceful when it's snowing though. I love it!

Oh Catherine - you sure know how to make a girl jealous! I used to live near Buffalo, NY and I miss the snow at times. It's averaging in the 80's in my area right now. (sigh)
