I just had the best drink at Starbucks...Yummy!

Yesterday I visited our new Target for the first time. They have a Starbucks in there. I took my twelve year old son with me and got him his favorite Double Chocolate Chip Frappucino. I usually get a Mocha, but the guy working in there suggested a Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. You have to try it...it was delicious! ~Lisa

Salted Caramel Signature Hot Chocolate
This delicious sweet and salty combination brings together our rich, indulgent Signature Hot Chocolate and the flavors of buttery caramel and smoked sea salt. It is topped with whipped cream, a swirl of caramel and a sprinkle of our sea salt topping - a combination of artisan sea salt and Turbinado sugar from Hawaii.

Wow, isn't a Frappucino made with double-strength coffee? Your son isn't bouncing off the walls after that? I would be up all night, lol.

No wonder I've been putting on weight...I didn't check the calories! It was just a rare treat. I don't go to Starbucks much...too expensive. The two drinks cost about $9.00! I can't imagine people spending that kind of money there everyday. ~Lisa

Not all the Frappucino's have coffee in them. The Blended Creme ones don't. I let my kids have a strawberry or orange one once in a blue moon, but they are just so darn expensive.

OP I had a sample of this the other day. . .it was yummy. But now I'm wondering how many calories were in that little cup!

I know! I got it down as low as 400 calories.....LOL and that was a tall with nonfat milk, and no whipped cream and it still had 9 grams of fat!!

I'll have to save this as an extra special treat someday. It still sounds good!

Ok calorie counters....look what Hungry Girl had on her page today! A low calorie alternative to the drink that CaddyLisa told us about! Check it out.... Also, make sure you read down to check out the mini-Snickers pie alternative. I can't wait to make this one for my kids.

Hungry Girl - Thursday Newsletter

I love Hungrygirl.com She always tells about the best lower calorie/fat/etc alternatives. I get her email daily, but you can just visit her site.

Enjoy!

I bought the stuff tonight to make the drink and the stuff for the mini Snickers pies. I'll probably try them this weekend.

I thought the Snickers mini pies looked awesome, but she mentions it is about 100 calories for two. Then I figured out the calories for about 12, I know how I am. Let me know how they turn out, I still might try them.

You're welcome...I have to agree with you about the Strawberry and Creme...It is sooooooooo good!...My favorite though was the Bananas and Creme they had not this past summer, but the summer before...I guess not too many people liked it because they did away with it...I loved it though...mmmmmmmm! ~Lisa
