Yellow Tail Pinot Grigio is always a hit, I think.

There is another one that I like and it is called Ménage à trois. This is an excellent red wine. Very nice..excellent flavor and body.

Do you know if they prefer red or white? Dry or sweet? Any ideas at all? If you do, then you can drop by a local wine store and get some great ideas. There's so much variety out there and what one person loves, another might not like at all. You're usually pretty safe with a reisling (a slightly sweet white) or merlot (a medium, not too dry red).

Menage a trois is excellent, and the price is good, too. It's about $8.99 a bottle here in southeast PA

One of my favorite vineyards in the Sonoma area is Acacia. You can pick up a bottle in most states at a wine shop for under $20. 2005 is great, and I just had a 2006...they are both ready to drink now.

Why don't you bring them a bottle of champagne or an Italian sparkling wine like a Prosecco? Then they won't feel obligated to open it a their cocktail party and can enjoy it whenever they would like.

I love Syrah and Shiraz wines. Wine can be tricky though since people have such different tastes. I think champagne is a good idea. I've given Moet before as a gift.

Liberty School House Cabernet is nice -- should be about $14. Bogle Old Vine Zinfandel is wonderful -- around $15 and is great with pasta. Kendall Jackson Chardonnay is fabulous and around $12. I really like the blended reds. Just ask at the wine store.

I'm currently loving this type of wine I found-- it's a muscadine wine-- very sweet. Made by Muplin Winery, it's called Carolina Red.
