Smile What does Santa do at your house?

How does the guy keep up with doing a different tradition at every house? He's quite the guy....with that great big sack going all night (I wonder if he takes Enzyte )

Anyhow....does Santa leave ALL the gifts or just some? Does he wrap them? What does he fill stockings with? Wrapped or unwrapped? Any special paper that only Santa uses? Does Santa leave footprints or partially eaten snacks at your house??

Santa fills the stockings and eats the cookies that we leave out for him on our special Christmas plate. He usually leaves one wrapped gift for each of us but one year, he had William Sonoma deliver them for him because he was so busy..

Santa has left a lot of gifts under our tree already... Yep, from Santa. There is even one from Rudolph because he stepped on the box and Santa made him sign the package. Unfortunately, his elf got mixed up and put a rabbit pawprint on the package instead of a deer hoofprint. It will be the topic of conversation on Christmas morning! Maybe Thumper did it??

The stockings have been filled but are resting in mommy's room to bring out for temporary hanging and opening on Christmas Eve. This is the way that he's done it for years!

On Christmas Eve, cookies are left on a plate along with a glass of milk. Usually 2 of the prettiest frosted sugar cookies. Santa only has time to drink about half of the milk and almost all of the cookies before he leaves.

He doesn't wrap the big gifts that he leaves under the tree on Christmas Eve but always puts the pretties big red bows on them.

Santa always goes to the furnace and ho ho ho's to the children thru the heat vents and he even tells them to be good and answers all of their questions and tells them to be good lil boys and girls and to help their mommy. He has also been to known to call them on the phone. This always happens BEFORE christmas.

Our Santa fills the stockings and leaves one or two presents under the tree for each person. These presents are not wrapped and are under the tree. Sometimes there is a big name card so we know which present is for who.

We leave a glass of milk along with a few cookies....but we also leave carrots and celery for the reindeer. They get hungry too! When the kids wake up in the morning, the celery & carrots have been nibbled on and only scrapes remain on our back porch.

When I was a kid, we had no fireplace, so Santa came in the front door. I had to make sure it was unlocked for him before I went to bed. We never thought to give him a spare key.

He left my presents unwrapped.. sitting all over the living room I remember one year my fave stuffed animal monkey got missing or eaten up by a dog and Santa brought me another on Christmas day.. it was sitting in the living room chair HAHA!

I always wanted to leave milk and cookies out for Santa, but my Mom (wink wink) said nooo, Santa is sick of milk and cookies at every house.. let's leave him a piece of chocolate cake and a pepsi here, he'll like that much better

Hopefully he's be doing it on Christmas Eve if you know what I mean. I have a Santa Dress and I want to get my husband a Santa suit...the rest you'll have to guess.

EDITED TO ADD: Don't worry there are no children here except the cat and dog!

I'm confused. There are packages under the tree from Santa already? You mean he comes to your house several times even before Christmas? Wow, your kids must be EXCELLENT - at the top of the list!!

In any event - sounds like you are way ahead of the game here if you got the stockign stuffers all wrapped and ready to go - very impressive!

We leave cookies and milk out for Santa, which he eats. He brings 1 or 2 presents for the kids, wrapped in paper only Santa uses. We don't have a fireplace, so he leaves the stockings under the tree with the presents, and he doesn't wrap anything in the stockings. He's too tired to do that, haha. That's about it. . . sometimes we can hear his sleighbells jingling though.

ETA: This year should be fun. I have to think of doing something special, like leaving Santa's hat behind or making his footprints. My DD6 has this elaborate plan this year of how she is going to stay awake and use her best spy skills to catch Santa in action. LOL!

Also my kids think Black Friday is the day that all the moms of the world go to the North Pole to help Santa. Shhhhhhh! Don't tip them off.

Yes, EXCELLENT kids! But, easy enough to turn all of it into coal if necessary. We are going out of town on Saturday and so Santa got it done yesterday and now I can get ready for the trip. Santa isn't usually ready this early!!!

ETA - neither of my kids are 'believers'.

Usually Santa fills stockings and leaves one or two large wrapped gifts, but this year Santa is only filling stockings. lol Santa has felt the economy too. ha!
When my girls were younger they would leave cookies and a letter to Santa and *he* would eat and leave a note.

Santa doesn't wrap gifts, but he stuffs the stockings. Usually eggnog and cookies are left out unless my 8 yo gets there 1st and in that case it's Pickles and milk ( Yummy ).My now 6yo has to leave the reindeer and Santa's dog() a treat also. On Christmas eve we watch movies and the kids have to go to bed at 7 Pm ( which means by midnight they are Just getting to sleep LOL ).After Santa gets all the gifts and stockings stuff he takes a quick nap on the couch or chair and then he heads home to be with Mrs. Clause, But Mrs. Clause has to give Santa a friendly reminder that she too is very tired from having to clean up, washing all the clothing for Santa and the elves and entertaining all the elves since the elf school is out till jan.

HAHAHA! The nap on the couch reminded me. One christmas my mom was sick with a bad cold, so she decided to sleep on the couch to keep from waking my dad up from her coughing.
I just KNEW she would scare away santa and he wouldn't leave me any gifts! I was so worried! The next morning, I had gifts, yay and I asked mom did santa wake her during the night, she said no he was very quiet HAHA!

My kids are older now, and so is Santa , so I (oops, Santa) takes care of all the Santa stuff when I (oops, he) gets up at the ungodly hour of the morning that is typical. Santa wraps gifts and stocking stuffers in special paper - one color per kid.

Their big gift from Santa is usually the #2 item on their list....and/or something that was equivalent between the two of them. Both Santa and I have always tried to be fair.

They're 14 and 19 now and I have been thinking about transitioning to Santa just taking care of the stockings now, which is part of why I posed this question. This year though Santa is giving DS1 tickets to a Kevin James show and DS2 tickets to a Baltimore Ravens game. Santa is going all out!!
