I also love to celebrate my birthday, however while we all wish we could truly stay 21 forever its not the case. However I believe more that its truly only a number and to cherish each day like its your last.I know there are some people who hate to admit their true age, again its just a number and from all the magazine and television programs so many ladies admit they love turning 30. 40 . 50 and its get better so who knows.. Again peace Melissa and stay safe in this holiday season... Catherine

You know, I never thought about dying, not once, until I had my first baby. I remember thinking 'what if I die?? who could raise him/love him like I do?' I trust that the Lord will provide, but I pray that I will live to see them grown. So, if that is my heart's prayer, how can I complain about getting older?? I'll take any and all birthdays God wants to give me!!! Gladly!! I really do love myself, love who I'm becoming, the lessons I've learned and am still learning. I wouldn't trade this life for nothin'! There's plenty of ups and downs, sometimes more downs than I care for, but I am blessed. I know what you mean about people not wanting to tell their real age, my sister tells it, but she was in such mourning on her 40th birthday. My gracious she was pathetic, thinks her life is over! Can you imagine?? Silly girl. |

Brownsugargirl, thanks for sharing your life story, it takes alot of courage to admit some personal stuff .I sincerely appreciate your total honesty.I brought up the age of 21 because I am always telling my kids that from the ages of 18-24 is sometimes the best easy times in your life.Meaning to have the freedom to be a adult and go to college or work or both, perhaps still live at home, have your mom still cook and do the laundry lol. Having the freedom to hang out with your friends, perhaps travel. However when you decide to get married and raise a family and pay bills life becomes a whole different chapter and those carefree years will never come back. Sure when you kids are grown and raising their own family, you will get back some carefree life, but it will never be the same as before. Once you have children your life changes forever.I personally am glad I have my kids young and glad also to be a young mom. Again I am sincerely happy to hear your happy with you life, enjoy as always live each day as your last, for you never know what tomorrow may bring. For the record I am 45 and am proud as well. Peace and blessings and stay safe in this holiday season. Catherine

I'm a few days late and many dollars short but....Happy belated Birthday, brownsugargirl! Sorry I chimed in so late, I haven't had much time for visiting and posting lately. But, I still wanted to give you my sincere "belated" birthday wish of much happiness, good health, and the most wonderful things life has to offer. I love your outlook, and judging from your persona, I'm sure you're able to find even the smallest of blessings bestowed upon you. What great perspective! .
