Purses, Redux

Well, the purse thread closed but I just had to start another. I was purse shopping last night - I've decided that I want a red leather purse. I have this stupid American Express point card that I got for my 25 year service anniversary that can only be used at certain stores...so I thought I'd hit TJMaxx and Marshalls to see if they had a nice red bag for me. There was one nice red Tignanello hobo bag, but I wasn't ready to buy yet....

But hey, purse nuts, did you know that TJMaxx has Coach bags? A brown leather bag with a short strap with buckles on sale for $89. Real or fake?

Anyone want to continue to show your bags??? I did buy a teal colored Stone Mountain leather bag from teh Amazon sale for a grand whopping $21.

I have seen Coach, D&B and Juicy at TJ Maxx just to name a few. I have seen Red by Marc Ecko and other bags too.
I just found out that Juicy bags are made in the US so I am going to start looking at those. I was considering a Coach but I just learned they are all made in China!
Now you have me wanting to look there again. CS you can explain to my husband why I bought five purses and the mortgage didn't get paid!

I have 3 different Arkansas Razorback purses (one is vintage).
I have 2 black ones (I'm currently carrying a black Liz Claiborne that I picked up at Ross)
I have 4 brown/tan purses
I have 2 red purses (which I'm going to be changing to one of them this afternoon)
I have one tan/wicker type that I got from ebags.com

I think that's all....at least that's all I'm remembering (or choosing to remember!LOL)

Let's not even discuss shoes!

I have seen D&B, Coach, and Juicy at TJ Maxx but well I will only purchase from the store. I guess I'm a purse snob...so be it! I love my Coach purses (and matching accessories) because I can afford them a little more regularly. Here are some of my other favorites:

(Mine have shorter straps)

TJMaxx & Marshalls get them all the time. They are real, although I have heard horror stories of people buying the real ones and then returning fakes of the same make/model, but I put the stories up with other urban legends.

I would say make sure that you know what you are buying, and if you are not sure, keep your receipt, keep all the tags on, take it to a Coach or Dooney retailer and have it authenticated.

The one (2, actually) that I saw was this:
Excellent NEW Coach Purse w/tags *Christmas Gift* - eBay (item 200286681464 end time Dec-14-08 19:59:25 PST)

It wasn't anything too exciting.

I'm not much of a purse person...don't like carrying them. If I need to carry stuff, like diapers, snacks, etc I have a leather Coach backpack that I love...English tan I think is the name of the color. 80% of the time I just carry a blue suede wristlet, also Coach. We have an outlet about 20 minutes from my house and I'm always meaning to go down and see what they have, but since I don't carry purses there really isn't much point.
