Regardless of the kind that you chose make sure you get one that you can update...
(Put new maps on it,etc)

My son has the Garmin 205W and DH has the 750 (mines built into my Tahoe and I HATE it!). Anyhow, truthfully, there aren't that many more features that Dh has that Ds doesn't. We use the restaurant locator and directions the most. If we're out of town, it's the attractions feature. We've had really great luck with both.

Now, my parents were adamant last year about brands, so I bought them a Magellan. Well, it's been in and out of service so much that they've truthfully not gotten to use it very much. Plus, I think their picture is awful compared to the Garmin. But again, thats just MHO!

Debbiepete- Do you have to have your Lincoln in park in order to use your GPS? I think that's the thing I hate the most about mine. Maybe its something I can change, but I haven't a clue how!

Other thing is, half the time it looks like I'm driving in the middle of nowhere. The street half the time isn't even listed!

My DH and I each have Garmins and both of my boys at college have Garmins. They are extremely user friendly. I just recently got the Garmin Bean Bag mount for the dash board. It is wonderful and now I don't have to mount the unit on the windshield and have it leave that round mark which tells burglars that there is a gps hidden somewhere in the vehicle when I'm out a about.

No Breggae. the only feature I cant use while driving is the address. All the other features work if I am driving or parked. Hope this helps. The book is very helpful also. If this continues I would suggest taking it to the dealer. Thats what they advised me when I got my new car.

I have GPS in my verizon wireless plan. It is awesome!! Even knows about construction delays, etc. It has not steered me wrong yet (have had the feature about 2 years) It will give you turn by turn directions or show the map or both. I love it!
