Help! I need gift ideas - 15 yo boy

Please help! I need to get a Christmas gift for a friend's son. He's 15 but will be 16 in a few weeks and I'm at a loss as to what to get him. Any suggestions? I'd like to keep it under $20 if possible. Thanks in advance.

My son is almost 18 and he still likes Legos.

Another game he liked a few years ago and still does is the hand held 20 questions electronic game.

If this boy has an iPod, he would most likely appreciate an iTunes gift card.

There are many video games available in the $20 and under range but you would need to know what system he plays.

I'll keep thinking and let you know if I come up with anything else.

I have 14 yo & 16yo boys, and I'm at a loss. All they're really asking for this year is clothes. They have all the electronic gadgets they want, they really don't play with toys.

DS16's gf's family always gives him gift cards, and that's a hit.

I was in American Eagle yesterday - they have wallets ranging in price from $10 - 13.00. Maybe a wallet with a McD's gift card?

Smelly stuff always works, too.

I'm curious to see other's suggestions - I could use some for my own kids!

Sandy

These are all great ideas, ladies. Thank you very much. I really like the idea of a wallet with a gift cert. inside. There's a deli in town where the kids like to hang out after school -- I'll get it from there. Thanks Sandy!

I think the wallet and gift card are a good idea. Or even just a gift card. lol This age is hard. I would always stay away from clothes if you don't know what he wears. Cash is the best then he can spend it anywhere.

Boys this age have pretty varied interests. Heck, looking at the moms of boys this age who have posted suggestions here....neither of mine would go for Legos, smelly stuff, or clothing!! Isn't that weird? They just seem to have their own interests, likes, and dislikes.

That said, I don't think you can go wrong with a gift card to an entertainment superstore (BestBuy, CircuitCity, etc) or to someplace to eat. I think all teenage boys like to eat. Mine also like to get passes to the movies, especially when tied onto a box of Sno-Caps. LOL

I think the gift card is the way to go. I got my two teen nephews iTune gift cards. At that age, they are so picky.

I second whoever said the 20 Questions hand held game.

I got the Simpsons one for my BIL this year and it was around $15. I tested it out before I bought it and it's fun. Had to take it to mom's so I wouldn't keep playing with it, lol!

The Axe body products are very popular with that age and there are lots of under $15 gift sets of it around.
