We do a little bit of both. I like to see the variety underneath the Christmas tree.

gift bags almost 100% which is why I don't put our packages under the tree until Christmas Eve night (so no peeking!). Gifts that are sent to use are wrapped in paper so there is a variety on Christmas Day

Gift paper in a wide variety of colors with bows so there's a nice variety under the tree. If it's awkward shaped and I don't have a box, then I'll resort to bags. Last minute items get bags too.

All gift wrapped w/ matching bows and ribbons. I'll use a gift bag only if it matches. I know, I get teased every year by my family!

I am a twin to breggae (in the gift wrapping department ). Creating the packages is as much fun as selecting the gifts for me. I use several kinds of paper and various types of ribbon (including curling, traditional, raffia, yarn, ribbon) and tags. Not a fan of gift bags. Use pre-made bows sometimes, but not too often.

We travel six hours to my mother's for Christmas every year, so most of our presents are paper only, which are much simpler to pack. There are some gift bags thrown in for the really awkwardly shaped items.

We do all the above. It depends on the gift, what boxes we have available, if it needs a box, if it's bulky or just the mood of whoever's wrapping it. We have everything under the tree...gift bags, paper (with & without bows), some ribbon, some fancy bows, some just stick on from the store. I will say when we use a gift bag, we usually wrap the gift in tissue, then put decorative tissue on top so peeking isn't an issue.

I do everything. A lot of my packages go to my family in another state. Those I usually wrap then put into a gift bag. My husband's I usually just wrap. To be honest I usually wrap all my packages at once so it would be a lot of work to do them fancy. At birthdays I always do something fancy.

I wrap and use bags. If the item is difficult to wrap it goes in a bag with tissue paper. The gifts I wrap just get wrapped. Sometimes I might use ribbon...gave up on bows long ago. Gifts that get transported to another house always lose their bows and our cats just knock them off at home. LOL

Paper only. Our cat will eat any fancy stuff on the paper.

Wrapping paper and bow. Five different kinds of wrapping paper (one for each of the kids and then DH and I wrap our presents to eachother in the last roll) with bows and ribbons that coordinate with the paper, and the paper/bows/ribbons coordinate with the decorations on the tree. I know, I'm anal, but I love how pretty it looks when everything matches.

I mainly use paper and bows, sometimes ribbon.
I put an ornament on at least one package to each person.
I buy ornaments on sale after Christmas.
One of these years I am going to make the ornaments. (I hope!)

I have a gift wrap room. Sick, but true. I go all out. I spend all year collecting cool stuff here and there to use, so I get a little wild.
