It's a boy! Bristol Palin gives birth to a son

The daughter of former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has given birth to a son, a magazine reported Monday.

Bristol Palin, 18, gave birth to Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston on Saturday, People magazine reported online. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces. Colleen Jones, the sister of Bristol's grandmother, told the magazine that "the baby is fine and Bristol is doing well."

They must like "T" names. Her baby brother's name is Trig. Her son's name is Tripp. Glad mother and baby are doing well. ~Lisa

I wonder if they'll still get married? I'm kind of doubting it.

If it were my child who got pregnant and had a baby--I would counsel against getting married that young. I know it can and does work out w/ young marriages, but man! Two wrongs don't make a right....

I'm glad that mom and baby are apparently healthy. I would hope that at some point the media would quit intruding on their life.

Word is (from TMZ) the happy couple is getting 300 grand from People mag for 1st pictures of the baby. The bidding price went up after the new dad's mom was arrested in Alaska on drug charges.

I hope they don't let the paternal grandmother do the babysitting.

I love all of the T names!

Glad mother and baby are doing well.

I know most people won't agree, but I'm glad they are getting some $$ for pictures of the baby. Life is going to rough enough, at least they will have a little security to help.

I have no problems with them selling pictures of the baby, but I would rather not hear complaints about invasion of their privacy afterwards. No one has bothered those two in months, so it would be hypocritical to sell the pictures and then cry foul.
