It is so easy to use just pump up and down. The bags only cost about a quarter each (before Ziploc coupons which I seem to find a lot of). I have not only used it for freezing meat and stuff but I use the large ones for my frozen veggies then I can take some out and pump it back.

It is one of the things my husband gave me for Christmas and I have been using it a lot.

I have the Reynolds version and think it is just great. As said the bags aren't that expensive and there always seems to be coupons available.

The starter kit is on sale for $1.99 at target and there is a $1.00 coupon from a few weeks back. I actually called them to ask a question about this and they are sending me a packet of coupons too. I was wondering if the bags were reusable and they suggested not to because of the possibility of cross contamination.

Maybe a dumb question, but here it goes. Does the starter kit have the little vacuum itself in there? I was walking down one of the aisles that carries this kind of thing and just glanced at it, but was thinking it was around $15 maybe? I thought it was kind of neat, but since we don't use our food saver very much I didn't really look that closely at it.

I'll stick with my Foodsaver!
