Dish detergent that doesn't dry out hands?

Has anyone found a dish soap that doesn't eat away at your hands? If so, please share. I don't like rubber gloves.

Men like their hands dry and rough, right? I used to tell my EX that NOTHING made hands dry and rough like washing dishes... He never believed me enough to try. Oh well.

I tell you though.. sometimes I put a spoonful of baking soda in my dish water.. to soften dried on baked on stuffs.. and it also makes my hands soft.

I second Dawn. It's the only one I've used for years. I haven't tried the Hand Renewal yet. I don't find that the regular old fashioned Dawn bothers my hands.

Whatever happened to Palmolive? Don't they still show the lady hand on the label? Didn't "Marge" used to put her clients hands in Palmolive when they came do get their nails done in that commercial from the 80's or so?

Incidentally, isn't the term "Soap Opera" from the detergent manufacturer's from so long ago? I think Proctor and Gamble used to own the "soaps" and they were simply a vehicle for getting ladies to view their commercials for dishwashing and laundry detergent...

Sorry to get off topic. I'm interested in checking out the aforementioned Dawn.

I use the original green Palmolive. Dawn makes my hands break out.

Dishwashing Liquid & Soap by Palmolive® & AJAX® - Looks like they have a sensitive Palmolive now.

I do use Dawn for treating grease spots in the laundry.
I also hate to wear rubber gloves.

I have some of the new Dawn with the Hand Renewal, and to be honest it doesn't seem to make much of a difference with my hands. I still end up having to wear gloves. I used to use Dove, but no stores around here carry it anymore.

Sorry I can't help . . . I only use the dishwasher now because I have about 20 boxes of powerballs that I got for 90% off at Target for .49 cents a box. I think it's about a year or two supply

No help here. I can't remember the last time I had dish soap on my hands. I use the dishwasher and for hand wash only items I have one of those dish brushes you load up with dish soap and push a button to dispense. Works for me.

This time of year, my hands are usually drier because of the drier air in the house, due to the furnace. That could be part of your culprit.

Do they still make Ivory dish soap?? I would recommend a heavy dose of hand cream after washing dishes, no matter what kind you use.

I would not use AJAX or Dawn, if you have sensitive skin. I'm using Palmolive for my hand washables, and that is working well for me.

I've got Planet, which is unscented, so it doesn't make the bottles and pump stuff taste like fragrance. I just did way too many dishes, but my hands feel pretty good.

I have tried Dawn and Palmolive and they made my hands sore and dry. I swear by good old Ivory liquid.
