Anyone eat at CiCi's Pizza?

It's an all you can eat pizza, salad, soup, dessert place. We finally tried it yesterday. The atmosphere was less than I expected. DH and I used to eat at a similar place in Amarillo, TX that was the same idea only nicer.

The food was okay -- I don't think we'll rush back any time soon but what I loved about it was DS5 who ate SIX pieces of pizza plus dessert! This is a kid who doesn't normally eat more than two slices. He told his big sister that he wants to eat there every day. The kid just makes my day!

We love Cici's pizza! Our boys especially do. They did the same thing, said they wanted to eat there every day.

We don't have any around us, though. So we only eat when we travel to the areas where we know have them. You can't beat the $3.99 price for the pizza/pasta/salad buffet!

I've wanted to try them. They run commercials here constantly, but there are no actual restaurants in our state! They should stop teasing us with the commercials if we can't get any! LOL!

We eat there quite often.
The salad bar is great and always fresh.
They will make any kid of pizza that you ask for.
A cholate brownie for "just a little someting sweet" after a good meal is a nice treat.
And the best part is the super low price!
All you can eat for about 5-6 bucks!

Wow, prices vary! We paid $5.79 (kids 10 and under were $3.49). It was still worth it.

We eat there occassionally. My 12 yo dd loves it - especially the macaroni & cheese pizza. Oldest dd is losing interest. DH hates it. I can take it or leave it but I LOVE the bavarian dessert!

Our prices have gone up, too, but I can't remember how much. It's $4.something I think.

It's been a couple of years since we have eaten there.. lol

Last time we went it was $3.99 (In Dubuque IA). Our bill would be almost $6 a person if we added on soft drinks..
Honestly, if it is now more than that, I don't think I would find it a good deal. However, their Spinach pizza.. can't remember which one it is, but I think it has an alfredo sauce..is to DIE for.. arrgh.

we had one open in the next town over. We haven't been yet because about 6 families I know tried it out and reported back to our "mommy board" that it wasn't good. The kids liked it (but heck, my kids will eat Little Caeser's $5 pizza...yuck!) but none of the adults could stomach it. SO...we haven't tried it because I just can't eat bad pizza and I figure that over 12 adults can't be that wrong.

Sexy, they were right. Like I said, I wouldn't have paid more than $3.99 for their buffet. It isn't that good. Too bad they raised their prices, it might just be the death of them.

We eat there once in awhile...We used to go there quite frequently when the kids were small...They loved it!...I think they liked playing the claw machine in there more than the they liked the food...I thought that it was OK for the cheap price...My youngest son is a picky eater and he loved their cheese pizza with no sauce...I liked the pasta/sauce and the salad bar...The one near us was bought out by someone else so it's not CiCi's anymore...There's also a similar place around here called Stevie B's...same food, same concept... ~Lisa

I think the price is a regional thing. I'm sure it's lower in some places but we're on the East Coast and everything is more expensive here. The website says under $5.00 with an asterisk and the fine print says prices may vary.

Here in west central AR the price is right at $5 for adults and $1.20 for soda which is a lot cheaper than most restaurants for soda.
The salad bar is great!! Always fresh and lots of toppings. The low fat ranch dressing is to die for. I wish I could buy it at the grocery store.
The dessert is wonderful although I'm not sure what another poster meant by the bavarian dessert. There's a fruit pizza, apple I believe, brownies and cinnamon rolls that are also to die for.
DS loves the mac and cheese pizza. The cheese sticks are so good. For overall quality though, the pizza is just so-so. The amount of toppings is rather skimpy. It ain't Pizza Hut!! However, Pizza Hut buffet is now $6.50 plus drink.
We go to Cici's maybe every other month. Just in case you didn't know, they have a frequent diner punch card. I believe it's 10 punches for a free meal. I was never offered a card. I noticed a customer behind me use one so I asked.
Whenever we go there's always a crowd.

We have been there once. It was OK, no big rush to get back there. I'm not really big on buffets, or everyone having their hands in my food basically. Same with Golden Corral.........

They changed the one here...now its a premade salad, and no more alfredo sauce...that was what my DS loved...the veggie pizza and spinach pizza are awesome, along with the cinnamon rolls...but still really upset about their white sauce! It really was awesome!
Adults eat for 4.99 and kids 2.99 with drinks .99 cents in Omaha.

Is that what that white stuff was next to the soup?

Soup?? What soup? I've never seen soup at my local Cici's. Yes, the "white stuff" is alfredo sauce.

Here, they have different owners. At one, they have the apple struesal, brownies & cinnamon rolls. At another one they have this one it has a thick soft crust and it is covered with a bavarian cream or chocolate sauce. The bavarian one is to die for! I love it!

I just used their restaurant locator to find the one closest to me. It opened a map and displayed some towns in PA. I live in MA, lol.

It's very popular with the kids around here. DD asked for gift certs for it for Christmas and she's thinking about having her birthday party there. The food isn't great, but it's not bad and the brownies are to die for. Given the price of pizza from Domino's or Papa John's, it's a pretty good deal.

DH and I avoid that place like the plague!!! Can't stand the "atmosphere." Kids running all over the place screaming their lungs out. Cardboard pizza. We don't have kids and have a very quiet household. That place drives us insane. I am glad it is there for those of you who have kids.Just doesn't fit our needs.

I buy the brownies frequently. They are like 4.99 for the box. It is the first thing gone when I take this to potlucks.
I love the alfredo sauce for the noodles.
Salad bar is always fresh, love that they will make what ever pizza. Kids usually ask for the mac and cheese and I go for the spinach. DH really likes the cinnamon rolls.
They give a student discount here if you show your school ID.
Never had soup or the barvarian dessert at this one.

Do they all say-welcome to Ci-Ci's when you come in? They really try to do that for everyone.

They also say some cute sayings depending on what pizza they put out.
ole, ole, ole taco pizza is on the buffet and some other ones.

Ours is still pretty new and is usually pretty busy.

No cute sayings when pizza comes out. They do greet you and when we're leaving they say thank you, come again. The employees are very friendly.
Our Cici's does not have a "kid atmosphere" and if it did I would address the situation with the manager because there's no excuse for children to be running all over the dining area being loud.

The Cici's by my house are very yucky. I wouldn't eat there if you paid me. We have another similar chain, Stevie B's, that is much, much better. When my youngest was little (and still ate for free), it cost us $12 for the four of us to have dinner there -- that was a bargain in my book and the pizza is good to. But then again, we love the $5 Little Ceasers pizza too.

The food is decent, fast and cheap - especially if you don't order soft drinks. We ate there several times when we were at Disneyworld last year. We would go for a late dinner after being at the park all day - much cheaper than eating in the park. It was perfect for us because we would all be too tired to really wait in a real restaurant and everyone could have whatever they wanted - we just wanted to eat quick and go back to the hotel.

Here you can ask them to make a pizza for you if you dont happen to like what they have on the bar.... I like a thick crust with hot peppers. They'll bring the whole pizza to the table for you ... I feel guilty about that and ask them to just let me know when it is up on the bar so I can take my 2 slices. Otherwise, it would be such a waste.

I don't love it. I don't hate it. My son loves to eat there so we go every 3 months or so. Usually there are coupons in the Entertainment books.

What do you want for around $5.00 a person?? It's a pizza buffet, with salad bar and desserts. I find it actually pretty good. As others have said, they'll make you anything you want if they don't have it already made. Atmosphere??? Please. It's NOT that kind of place, nor does it pretend to be.

Not sure if you're referring to my OP with your post, but if so, I think you're reading more into it than I wrote. I wasn't implying it was "that kind of place" -- good grief, I wasn't expecting a five star restaurant, it was just very "bare bones".

Cici's is NASTY! We have one here in GA in our small town. Sometimes they host a school night. The most kids that come and eat dinner from thier class will win a pizza lunch. My little girls class has never won. The tables smell like dirty water. The parents don't watch thier kids and they are touching the utensils in an unsanitary way. The people that are eathing thier , well, lets just say it made me sad watching people act as if it was thier last meal. I don't see us ever going thier for a long time. Very disappointing.

Sounds like it is an owner/manager thing for some of it.

I would assume that they all have to buy the products from the same place and make them the same way, don't they?

To think of a mac and cheese pizza, sounds disusting, but it really is quite good.
