do a clean sweep of my house. A friend and I were talking about this yesterday. We both get more done in January than we do in the Spring when people traditionally clean out their houses.

I get this way every January, too. I guess it's because it's a new year and I want a fresh start.

I do too. I think it is because after Christmas, I have to rearrange stuff to put the tree/decorations away and also make room for my DS's new toys and clothes and such. If I'm making room for that stuff, I might as well do it all!

You know, you have made me think about this where I never did before! But, yes! I do want to clean out everything in January.

Just yesterday I was looking at all of the boxes in my garage just itching to get them thrown out in the trash. But the below zero weather keeps me from tackling that (and the fact I can't really walk right now!)

I get that cleaning bug too - especially after spending so much time putting allllllllllll the Christmas stuff away! - but I get REALLY "crafty-feeling". It's usually around this time of year I want to get into more crafts - painting, crocheting, counted cross-stitch, etc.

We're having our last "Christmas" of the year with my sister tomorrow evening, then I can start taking down decorations in the house. (Outside is already done) Even though it's technically past the holiday, I want to keep things "Christmas-y" for her.

Then it's on to the crafts! It must be something about the chillier weather (even in Atlanta!). Makes me want to sit around the fire, drinking cocoa and making pretty things.

Definitely cleaning....... I hate clutter, and having the XMAS stuff out really starts to wear on me after a while. I think I have gotten rid or more stuff since XMAS than I do all year. I have really weeded out and given a lot away.

I feel like sleeping a lot more in January, too.......I guess because there is not as much day light??

I just got through with the cleaning and organizing in December. January makes me want to snuggle up in bed with good books and watch tv and eat whatever I want.

January makes me want to...sleep! I don't particularly care for this month. After all the excitement in December it's a bit of a downer. I've been on a cleaning binge myself lately. I gave away two bags of clothes yesterday. ~Lisa

January makes me want to crawl into my bed with a book, pile on the blankets and not get out until March 21. Of course that is depending on the weather, I may not want to get out until April or May, I do live in the Northwest after all. However I have children, so my reality is, I just reorganize my office, get all of my files for the last year in order and ready for next. Every January I also go through all of our bills and make sure we are still paying the lowest possible price. I know, totally boring right?
