Seen any good movies?

Have you seen any movies that you thought were good? I took my DS and 2 cousins to see Bedtime Stories and that was really cute.

I haven't seen it, but dd21 and ds16 both really liked the Benjamin Button movie. These two are polar opposites, so if they both liked it, it's probably good.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was good although it was very, very long. 2 hrs 45 min. There could have been about 30 min cut out of the middle when it got boring, IMHO.

Yes, I liked this one, too, and will buy it when it comes out on DVD. There was a bit more sex than I thought there would be. Don't get me wrong, there was not a LOT (dog humping leg, also) but, there were lots of little kids in the theatre.

I love Jennifer Aniston (even more since Brad Pitt and she split up - that dirty dog) and you could not pay me to see a Brad Pitt or Angelina Jolie movie, right now.

"Lars & the Real Girl" (on dvd now)
I thought I'd hate it, thought the premise was repulsive, but it was one of the sweetest movies I ever watched.

Okay I haven't seen these and the last movie I watched was "Don't Mess with the Zohan" on pay per view it was hilarious!
I would like to see Benjamin Button as well as several other movies that are out now. I have to admit we are homebodies and like to watch movies at home.

Catherine...You will absolutely think I'm nuts, but I didn't know (still don't) who Gary Oldman is. I just googled him. The only thing I've ever seen him in is "Sid and Nancy". I really need to get out more! I just don't watch that much TV or many movies I guess!

I just thought of a movie that I saw in the theatre...it's on DVD now..."Henry Poole" with Luke "I'd drink his bathwater" Wilson... ~Lisa

No good movie - the only movie I've seen in a theater lately was horrible: The Day The Earth Stooc Still. Awful....went with 14 other people and it was pretty unanimous.

Caddylisa go to youtube and put in Gary Oldman where girlfried have you been lol honestly he is truly if not the best actor who ever lived he is certainly one of the best of the best. He is a English actor but he has made well over 54 movies and by far he has played every kind of character you could imagine not only that but he had used a different accent in almost every film. I guess if you want to compare him to another actor it would be Meryl Streep who also in my view is one of the best when it comes to playing such uniqu roles and using so many accents to a perfection.Sid and Nancy was won of his earlier films. LIke i said go to you-tube and put his name and you will see so much about him. There are alot of huge fans of his who made some really nice videos of him. You can also view some films clips, some of his interviews. Some of his films include, Romeo is bleeding, The Scarlett Letter, The Professional, True Romance, The Contender, Bram Strokers Dracula, He was in the Harry Potter Movies, and of course lately he played in the lasted Batman and Commisser Gordon. Needless to say I have loved this actor for a long long time. Also he is so underated but again I believe the best always are. So plmk and take a look and let me know.Again I only named a few there are so many others he played in. Peace.Catherine

You will NOT be disappointed with Gran Torino. I honestly thought I wouldn't like it. I like Clint Eastwood, but have never been a really big 'Dirty Harry' fan....but OMG, this movie is incredible!! I could watch it over and over and over.

I watched August Rush on DVD and loved it but I'm a fairy tale kind of girl... I also just loved Lars and the Real Girl that someone mentioned.

Last movie at the theater was Four Christmases and I thought it was hilarious.

Bedtime Stories is a really cute movie.. also love You Don't Mess with the Zohan. Adam Sandler is hit or miss with me, but I love these two movies.

Valkyrie was pretty good too.

This weekend dh wants to go see Defiance... the new Daniel Craig movie. I'm not thrilled about seeing another WWII movie, but I've got NO complaints about watching Daniel Craig kick butt for a couple of hours. That man is FINE!

Saw The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons a few weeks ago. Thought it was outstanding. I highly recommend the movie. Saw it with two other people and we actually like it more and more the day after. It gives you something to think about.

I definately want to see Revolutionary Road with Kate Winslet. Also Gran Torino.

Same here! The last 2 movies I saw in the theater were "Sweeney Todd" on New Years Eve LAST year and "27 Dresses" sometime last summer!

We always rent them or buy them off the DVR and stay home!

I absolutely LOVE this movie! It is nothing like what you would expect when you read the back of the dvd box. It is now in my "top 10" favorite movies!
