Tell me I'm not the only one who loves this show over here. I can't wait! Randy, Paula, Simon and what's her name. I hope this new judge has a brain in her head.

My favorite Idol, since I started watching, (season 4) was Bo Bice. I was glad David Cook won season 7. He seems like a really nice kid and his studio version of Music of the Night was one of the best things to come out of Idol last year.

Our Fox station is saying there will be less stupidity the first few weeks and more Hollywood audition stuff shown. I hope they're right. I also hope they find some great talent!

Yeah I agree about the new judge.....never heard of her before. I got hooked a couple of seasons ago...and I already have it set up to DVR so I don't miss a thing!

I like the stupidity of the auditions...what can I say. Always good for a and a . My fave idol so far is David Cook. Love his voice....and his looks ain't half bad either! .

I'm hooked too. It will be interesting having a new judge. For those of you setting your DVRs and TIVOs, just remember that they frequently run over...so set it for a few extra minutes.

Mine automatically tapes 1 minute early and 3 minutes over....but I may have to change it to go over by maybe 10 minutes...just so I don't miss anything!

been watching since season 1. Kelly Clarkson is my fave idol. I enjoy Carrie Underwood and David Cook as well. I like Bo but what happened? I never hear his stuff! I HATED Fantasia...ugh, nails on chalkboard. I heard her house is in foreclosure I wouldn't wish that on anyone

I must be the only person who hates this show. I think the judges are mean-spirited and nasty. I don't understand what is supposed to be funny about it. Seeing people get ridiculed in public isn't my idea of humor. I just don't get it.

The only part I might watch is the auditions. I can't believe some of these people think they have talent.....more like they want their few minutes of fame.

The rest is all rigged. Same with Nashville Star. Found that out after going to the auditions for NS in Indy.

Excited about American Idol coming back tonight! Getting the popcorn ready!

BTW, you mentioned Fantasia. My friend's who lives in High Point, her daughter went to high school with her. Said Fantasia was always getting into fights and had a really bad attitude. She said it was so strange to see her on TV singing after going to school with the 'real' Fantasia.

I read somewhere that Paula Abdul will rake in somewhere between 5 to 8 million for this season. (I'm not sure she is worth it).
Simon is up to around 10 million per season.
Not sure about Randy or the new addition.
