If you know where Fort Jennings is then you must keep your eyes peeled at all times when driving about, you blink you miss it . I didn't live there long so I was used to larger towns. It was actually harder to get used to a small town when we moved there.

I know where it is because we live in the area. We have been there for baseball games, etc.

All are in the Northern Virginia Area. I am in the part of Alexandria they Call Mt. Vernon/Hybla Valley/ Gum Springs or Ft. Belvoir Area depending on their take on it all are pretty historical.

I did spend 45 days at my foster sisters in New Hampshire in 1993 when DH and I were separated but her town was so small and it was just weird I came back home to VA to Foster Mom's which is less than 1/2 mile from where we live in Alexandria.

Our next move will be to Winter Haven Florida by my Mom as soon as we get all the Appeals done for DH's Social Security Disability.

I live the next town over in Auburndale. Winter Haven is getting busier by the day but it's a great location. Auburndale still has the small town feel to it and, if I need a bigger town fix, Winter Haven and Lakeland are right down the road.

Just a heads up... don't leave all your cold weather clothes behind when you move down here. When I got up this morning it was 36 degrees!!

Wow, a lot of you have lived in a variety of interesting places. I've only lived in Illinois all my life. Born in Hinsdale, IL moved to Crystal Lake, IL when I was in 7th grade. Went to college in Normal, IL for 1 year then moved back to Crystal Lake. Felt independent and moved a town away to Woodstock, IL for a year. Then moved to DeKalb, IL to finish college. Met and married my husband and have been here ever since. Pretty darn boring! (But I did manage to visit Hawaii and Puerto Rico once before I got married!)
