Is it strictly food or could you get stuff like toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies? If I won and I had to get all food items--I'd get staples that have a very long shelf life: dried beans, rice, pasta, canned and jarred food, cereals, flour and sugar; and then a few things that we like that I won't buy because it kills me to spend as much as they cost!

Congratulations :-) If you can get stuff other than food how about laundry supplies like soap, snuggle, dryer sheets etc,, ( I go through that very fast LOL ). But if its only food then stuff thats usually expesive to buy and that you need/use. I would go for juices, sodas, bottled water ( stuff I always have to buy and never have coupons for ) have fun on your free shopping spree and let us know what you selected :-) |

Wow! Lucky you! There are lots of good suggestions here. Myself? I buy a few gallons of soy milk. ![]() Staples and non-perisables are great ideas. Is there a expiration date for you to shop? Do you have to use it all at once? Maybe you could just get necessities like milk, bread, eggs and produce and use it up over the next month? |

If I had to spend it all at once and only on food I'd buy some meat and some things I like but don't buy very often because of the price. If I had to spend it all at once but could spend it on anything in the store I'd buy tp, paper towels, and cleaning stuff I've always wanted to try but wouldn't spend the $ on. Here's hoping it's just a $100 gift card/certificate to the store and you can use it on whatever you want at anytime.

Congrats! If you truly have no room for food and you have to spend it right away, how about throwing a party and getting some platters, drinks, etc? Treat your family and friends to your good fortune... Just an idea... cj/

| First, congrats! Second, this is a great idea, I never thought to put return address labels on, I always hate filling out forms, so much to write out, and never enough room!

Does your store sell gift certificates to other stores? If so, I'd check and see if you could use the certificates you won to purchase other stores gift cards. That way you could get things other than grocery store items that you need/want.
