When the spending Mom went down in the other family's basement and saw their stockpile and said something like she couldn't believe it, all I could think was lady you haven't seen anything! I have that family beat at least 4 times over with my stockpile!

I think the show made couponing seem like a waste of time, which it certainly isn't. When the spending Mom was going to shred the other Mom's coupon binder I was in complete shock. I'm so glad the Dad spoke up and took it from her!

Mitchum I missed this one if anyone would mess with my coupons I would be so upset and as far as my stockpile it gets bigger and bigger and I have saved my family so much money over the years and my family and my dh and me are loving it all the way, would never ever change.. Too funny.. Peace . catherine

I watched while bundled under my comforter and literally clipping coupons from last Sunday's paper! I was wanting to kick Andrea's a$$ when she tried to shred Denise's coupons. Oh the horror! But I will say these two families were more "normal" (whatever normal is) than the families in some prior episodes. And it seemed Andrea was willing to make some changes concerning her spending towards the end of the show.

I also thought that for once, they had paired two less incredulous, way out there families. Bet it won't happen again!

Denise's husband had some humor that was funny.

I missed the beginning but what struck me as funny was the spendthrift mom trying to convince the frugal dad that it's better to work TWO jobs than to clip coupons. That one had me scratching my head. Gee, I think I'll spend even more time away from home and family working a second job instead of encouraging my wife to coupon and be frugal. I guess we couponers are just programmed differently.

I thought how could anyone not think it's better to save than to just foolishly blindly spend? And go into debt to boot! But really don't yell at me the coupon family could take a little better care of how they dress and look. Just because you're saving money you don't have to buy the cheapest thing in the store.
I certainly would not want to work all the time just to pay off debts for stuff I already used up. What a waste! I hope people watching came away with some kind of realistic view of how saving is better than going into debt.
