| Kleenex Alert! DogTown
This is a new show on the National Geographic Channel. From what I saw (I missed the first 15 minutes), it's about a very large last chance sanctuary for dogs in Utah. One of the dogs they highlighted last night was a very old Chow mix. He had numerous medical problems and near the end of the show they ended up putting him to sleep. But then they went on to show the pet cemetery they have there and the service they put on for the dog. I lost it. It was so touching.Anyway, if you like animal shows, this is something different and inspiring. I meant to add the link: DogTown | Dogtown - National Geographic Channel

This show has actually been on for a while now. Last year they had an entire two hour episode about the Michael Vick dogs. It was heartbreaking. It followed the rescue of the Pit bulls that had been abused by Vick and used for fighting. I watched the show with tears streaming down my face. I think the fact that we have a pit bull that we rescued made it have a very strong impact on me. I was amazed at how they were able to show these poor dogs love and compassion and turn their lives around. If you get a chance to catch the Vick episode it is amazing and might forever change your opinion of Pit Bulls.
