Name Your Must Watch Movies.

One of mine is on tonight... Ben Hur. It doesn't matter how many times I've seen them. I will watch these over and over.

All of the Godfather movies.
Independence Day (That's on tonight too.)
Gladiator
Overboard
Out of Africa
Auntie Mame
Saving Private Ryan
The 10 Commandments
The Best Years Of Our Lives
Titanic
Toy Story 1 and 2
Patton
Rebecca
The Sixth Sense

There are others I'll watch parts of but those I'll watch from beginning to end when ever they are on.

omg someone else knows the movie a tree grows in brooklyn. Dorothy Mcquire was so so beautiful, my favorite part of that movie is the christmas scene where its snowing and francine and her brother are given a new christmas tree. The sad scene is at the end when she graduates and she gets the flowers and card by her dad who passed away. What a true classic movie. Peace. Catherine

I liked Phenomenon (w/ John Travolta) and recently enjoyed August Rush. I guess I tend to like modern day fairy tales.

Old Stuff:
Holiday Inn
North By Northwest
Singing In the Rain
Guys and Dolls
The Thin Man

Newer:
A Christmas Story
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
Steel Magnolias
Amelie (French)
Mostly Martha (foreign film that No Reservations was based on)
Hoodwinked - even though this is an animated kid's movie -I LOVE IT

I really love old movies. I drive my kids nuts because they hate anything made in black and white and I love old black and white movies, especially the Marx Brothers and the Thin Man series of films. Basically, if it was made in the 1940s or 1950s, I love it.

I watched that movie when I was a teenager with my mom, always near Christmas time, and now I make it a ritual, even if we are across the miles from each other. I alwyas sob like a baby!
