Do you rate the threads???

She asked "Do you rate the threads?" I read it to mean the star rating system that mc has in place.

She was not starting another thread duplicating one that 's current.

Personally, I've never done the star rating on a thread. The reason? I can't figure out how to do it!

I did it a few times - but every time I did, it was re-rated within minutes (if someone else comes in and rates it after you do, I think the stars "average" out what yours and the other rater did...)

Cuthie, Go to the top of op's post, and look across that bar - the "rate thread" category is 4th on the bar for me...

ETA, I still won't use it. It's too anonymous to me. I prefer to be out front and open and the rating system is hidden (as to who gives the stars), right?

Yes, I have rated threads in the LWIF or Freebies forum - if I see one that is particularly good and I want others to be sure to know about it!!

Hmmmm, wouldn't be happening on my threads, would it???? I have noticed that since the Election Board got hot and heavy, my threads seem to pop up with one star, a supposed bad rating. Or, if they start out with a 5 star, they quickly dwindle down.

I'm flattered to know that someone would take so much time out of their obviously pathetic life to follow me around a message board to try and berate my threads. Maybe their time could be better served doing something good, like, oh, I don't know.....helping out some Girl Scouts. It's Cookie Time, you know

Now that is very interesting....there was a period of time where EVERY thread I started got rated 5 stars. Sounds like you had the opposite. Very annoying!

Honestly, I never even look at the stars. What you might think is *5 stars* might be a *1 star* to me.
Kind of like the movies I watch. If they're rated 5 stars, I usually don't watch them. I obviously march to a different drummer.

Yep, same here. It is useful in calling attention to a really special bargain, or a great recipe.

I have done it once or twice in the Cafe if it was a particularly important topic.
