I was driving my mini van around town for a couple of days and then complaining each evening to DH that I was on empty. Finally I decided to pull in and fill up. While pumping the gas I could only get 50 cents or so in. I went up to the window and told the guy that his pump wasn't working. He told me to pull over to the next one and try again, so I did. At that pump I could only get less than 25 cents in. He was watching me and came over to assist. He peeked in at my gages and said, "ma'am, your already on full". OMG, I could have just died. My DH had taken the van the night before and filled it up and never mentioned it.

He probably thought I was a real idiot for not checking the gas gage before pulling in.

Many years ago I had a routine of going to an aerobics class at our local Y. My dh worked nights, so he would come home and watch our newborn daughter when he got out of work. I got into a routine of going to class, and then hoping into the car and coming straight home. Well...I had to take my daughter to the daycare at the Y on one particular day because dh had an appointment. After class, I got in my car like I usually did and returned home, only to realize that I forgot my daughter at the Y. That was by far my most air head moment. Needless to say, when I returned to the Y to pick my daughter up the girls at the Y had a good time teasing me about it. The thought it was funny, I was horrified that I had done something so stupid!

I had one the other day. My kids always tease me about being a blonde. Thankfully they were not in the car at the time. I dropped my DS off at work, and on my way out of the parking lot, saw the sign to the pawn shop. It said, "Watch Batteries installed." I thought, "Wow, why would I want to see that?" Of course half a mile down the road, I had my DUH moment. Go ahead, laugh...

Once while visiting my brother in DC we borrowed his little truck to drive to Raliegh/Durham NC to attend a brew festival. On the return trip on a Sunday morning bright and early, I was trying to get some music on his little am car radio. I wasn't having much luck but came accross a local station that was doing a remote broadcast from a fundraiser to "benefit the families affected by Harry Ken Floyd". I commented to my sweetie that Harry Ken must be some ol' local fella.
My SO started laughing so hard he had to pull to the side of the road to avoid causing an accident. All I could do was stare at him like he had lost his everlovin' mind.
When he was finally able to get his breath he looked at me and said "Harry Ken Floyd??? How about Hurricane Floyd?"
OK I'm a Yankee, I don't always understand things said with a southern accent.

We still laugh about whenever it's bought up.

Okay, I do stupid things each and every day but since this is a coupon board, I'll post an embarrassing moment that we can all relate to.

While at the store, I wanted something on the top shelf. Well, since I'm short, I couldn't reach it so I stepped on the bottom shelf and reached up as high as I could to grab the item. As I jumped down, my shirt caught on the 'blinkie' coupon thing on the shelf and lifted my shirt clear up. I had to climb back on the shelf to unhook myself. So embarrassed!

Oh my, here it is 7am and I'm laughing hysterically in a dead quiet house. Thanks for the laughs, gals! Linny....that's one that I would do......those are my kind of "blonde moments" (no offense to blondes intended, of course!)

One day I was helping a customer at work with some questions about computer mice.
She wanted to know about the differences between an optical mouse and a regular mouse.
I picked up the regular mouse and showed her the little roller ball thing underneath and explained that it was the part that made the pointer move, etc.
Then I picked up the optical mouse and as I turned it over I said, "But not all mice have balls" and got no further as I realized how that sounded. Luckily the customer thought it was funny and started giggling. OOPS!!!

Oh, and she did buy the "neutered" mouse, lol!
