Personal product endorsments...

How about this for a new thread ?

What item have you tried recently that you feel is awesome ? Worth the money ? Great in every way ?

Mine are:

Reynolds oven cooking bags..yes, I know they have been out there for years..but I have recently tried them. I love the way the meat comes out very tender ( pork chops, chicken )..Clean up is easier as well.

Swiffer name brand cleaners...I have used generic..not nearly as good as the name brand swiffers. I love the smell..and they are super with cleaning my wood floors !

Another Reynolds product. Release aluminum foil! I think they have recently changed the name to something else (Easy Release Non-Stick Foil), but it's the foil with the non-stick surface. TOTALLY worth the extra $ not to have to clean the pan!

You know the razor blade sharpener that you see advertised on TV (As Seen on TV)? Well, DH decided to buy one because his razor blade refills are SO expensive. I was like 'you're wasting your money'. Well, I was wrong. It really works. DH took my razor blades (which I had put this particular razor away because I had gotten it as a freebie and didn't want to spend a lot of money on the blades) -- anyway, DH put it in the sharpener (it runs on batteries), and those blades are as good as they were when they were new. He sharpened all my razors! And his, too. Guess we won't be spending money on new razors for quite a while.

My Jeeps. A Jeep Country and a Jeep Grand Cherokee. Both 1993s, with more miles on each than the average vehicle.

Yep, they're old, but I'll be upgrading to another used Jeep as soon as I can find a good deal.

ETA: Also my Vita-Mix blender. A costly little machine in the first place, but it's more than paid for itself when I made all my DS's babyfood and hundreds of smoothies and soups over the years.

LL Bean "Wicked Good Slippers" - they are pricey, but I love them. These are the only slippers I'd ever buy (for cold weather).

LL Bean Winter Fleece Robe - this is usually $75.00, but I got it at the LL Bean outlet for $5.00! I love it. If I had to replace it, I'd pay full price if I had to.

My Ugg boots.
Warmest most comfy ones ever, and I can wear em w/out socks. Can also wear em in the summer and my feet don't get hot. I'm very hard on footwear and these have held up better and longer than any other kind of shoes/boots/slippers I've had (close second was my old pair of LL Bean flexstep clogs).
Just blew a hole in one of em and will need to save a bit till I can buy a new pair, but they have been worth every cent I paid for them on clearance (a bit over $70). Until then I'll duct tape those puppies ;-)

Lemme see....
- Born Shoes - pricey, but excellent quality and very comfortable
- Skinny Cow frozen ice cream treats & milk
- Annie's organic mac & cheese -- 100 time better than Kraft and healthier too
- Florida Naturals fruit sticks
- Trader Joe's -- love, love, love this store, which there was one closer to me
- Kashi frozen meals - yum & fairly healthy too
- Senseo coffee maker -- love making it by the cup, since I only drink one cup a day anyway and no one else in my house drinks coffee

Nutriferon Immunity builder by Shaklee. I had terrible asthma & allergies for years. I would cough constantly day & night-at night I'd wqke up coughing so hard most nights that I I thought my lungs would fly out my mouth- or I'd gag & vomit from the cough.Went to tens of doctors/ and prominent hospitals, had tests,procedures-only to be told they couldn't find anything definitive, so they were diagnosing it as severe "atypical" asthma. I then went the next several years trying every new medication and inhaler known but nothing helped much at all. Then, my brother was diagnosed w/leukemia & I was to be his bone marrow donor. Nutriferon had only been out a short while, but I decided to try it to make my blood/marrow as healthy as I could to give my brother the best chance. Well, people started noticing I wasn't coughing anymore. I didn't make the connection till after the BMT when I'd stopped taking the nutriferon, so I started taking it again & sure enough it truly was the nutriferon that helped me. I'm only telling this mini "novel" because I hope maybe it will help someone else who wouldn't otherwise know about this product. I just know how miserable my life was for over 10 years because of the asthma.
I'm also trying a new product by the same company called Vivix-it's a highly concentrated natural supplement of Resveratol, which has been proven to have tremendous antioxident effects-from healing to heart to anti-aging. I've only been on it for 10 days, so I can't report anything yet, but I've heard some interesting stories about those who've had "success" in different areas.
I am always so skeptical of anything, but since learning about these & this company's commitment to research and green living and all the impacts nutrition has on our bodies and the world, I feel like I was ignorant and stupid for not trying natural products earlier. I never wanted to spend the $(little did I realize how much I was spending on Dr''s & drugs that didn't help me) I guess I grew up brainwashed that Dr.s are the ultimate authority for any illness.
Having been through 3 1/2 years of horror with my brother's leukemia. paralysis & death, I have found most doctors are ignorant when it comes to the importance of nutrition in curing disease-they practically give it no attention at all! How ludicrous, when our cells are the building blocks of our body & nutrition is what feed/nourished those cells. O.K. I'm getting down off my soapbox now- it just makes me so angry when I think of all I went through as my brother's medical POA/Advocate- and all he went through & suffered. Strange thing, after 3 relapses, a brain tumor & paralysis he finally decided to try nutriferon. Previously he feared going against what the Dr's considered"protocol". The result :he was cancer free for 15 mos. & stayed that way until his death (from the flu of all things- his breathing was compromised from the paralysis). This was the longest he'd been in remission since his diagnosis 3 years earlier.

VR3 car stereo-lots of bang for the buck-tuner,cd player, will play off of SD cards, USB thumb drives or in put from IPOD.

1986 Toyota 4x4 pickup, bought used eight years ago. It's been through 3 sets of tires and we still aren't into it over $2500 total. We have put a ton of mile on this thing and it's always happy to start and go.

LL Bean Town and Field Tote. The poor thing should recieve hazardous duty pay for what I put it through. It is the perfect size and with a little leather cleaner/conditioner it cleans up and looks great.

Leatherman Micro tool-just the right size for my purse and gives me all the little tools including scissors.

Those are a few off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more but I just take them for granted and can't think of them right now.

I am enjoying this thread, several of the things mentioned I have considered and because I didn't have reviews of was leary of purchasing. Now I know better.

I love the Garden Burger Riblets too, and they were clearanced at our Walmart to 1.25 and are GONE. I really hope they didn't discontinue them, and that it's just our dumb Walmart not carrying them anymore (can't find Morningstar veggie chicken strips anymore either).

Dawn with Odor Eraser dishwashing soap is great, it says on the label that it's good for plastics that hold odors, and it really is! Just smells clean after you wash your Rubbermaid or Tupperware.

Clif Nectar bars are like Larabars, but better, if you ever see them.

I'm busy with baby stuff right now, so I'm loving:

Halo sleepsacks, because they keep my little guy warm at night, and make diaper changes really easy. They zip from the bottom up, while other brands zip from the top down, which isn't as good for changes.

Happy Heinys diapers, because you can stuff a bunch of inserts in them for night, they're very soft inside, and the outsides are adorable.

And Bobux shoes, because they actually stay on his feet. Those are pretty expensive, and were a gift from my lovely, practical SIL.

After cooking all day I have to add, the chopping mats that I get at Dollar Tree 2 for $1. They go right in the dishwasher so they are clean on reuse and just so handy. They last a month or so and I toss them and replace with new ones.
