Michelle Obama's Dress Did you like?

Just curious seeing that Michelle Bidons Boots are being brought up what did you think of Michelle's Dress. I thought it was lovely but for an evening affair. Not that any of this matters in the running of this country but interested in what you think of her choice.

The dress was cute, but the color was AWFUL!

The girls dresses were super cute though. They looked really beautiful.

I liked the dress, but thought she needed different shoes....

Could have been a better color.

I think they were high heeled pumps weren't they?? I just saw Jill Biden's go-go boots.

I liked Michelle Obama's dress OK. I don't like the way she keeps throwing sweaters over her dresses......like she's trying to hide something. She did it the night of the election, too.

The gold was a bit too formal for her dress for today. She doesn't want to outshine the POTUS. I'm sure it's all a learning process

I didn't catch the girls' dresses.

As an aside, I truly hope that the First lady uses her position to set an example for the rest of the country. I also hope people can see this election as proof positive that you can do ANYTHING.....no need to hang on to the baggage of your younger years......march on.

In the pictures, they look to be basic pumps of a black/green color...they were relatively low heeled and didn't flatter Mrs. Obama's legs.
I know that she is taller than he is, and I think that probably why they were lower heeled. She needed higher heeled and pointer toed shoes.

I thought her dress was more for an evening affair. I didn't like the color either. I would think a richer color and a nice warm coat would have been more appropriate.

Oh the joys of living under a microscope! LOL!

The only comment I have is that I hate light green colors.

The dress was a yellow-gold color. I thought it was ok...but looked a bit old fashioned. I like the idea of a matching coat and dress though. Her shoes were Jimmy Choo! ~Lisa

Michelle Obama's striking dress and matching coat come from Isabel Toledo, a Cuban-American designer.

Members of the media can't quite seem to agree on whether the dress is yellow or gold. Regardless, it's a rather unconventional choice for January.

Michelle Obama's fashion has captivated the public since her husband announced his candidacy. No doubt the new first lady's fashion choices will generate headlines for years to come.

Incidentally, New York Magazine is reporting that her pumps come from Jimmy Choo.

In any case, I think the Obama family does have an incredible sense of class and style.

Wasn't he already voted (off the record, of course) the coolest president ever? And anyone going in with a 78-82% approval rate (I've seen various reports) has some big shoes to continue filling!

Personally I don't care what anyone of them where. I don't see how what they wear, has anything to do with what they'll do for our country. By them, I mean everyone in DC, not just the first lady or v.p. first lady. Just my 2 cents.

She probably wore lower heels in light of the fact that they walked part of the parade route.

If you look at pictures of her over the past several months, you'll see she wears low heels pretty consistently. Some women just don't like high heels.

I thought she looked gorgeous and classy, as always. It's not a color most people could wear, but she looked great in it. And the girls were precious. I liked Dr. Biden's coat and boots, but didn't care for her dress.

She looked nice in yellow/gold whichever it was, sort of a classic look, I don't care for the color but it looked nice on her, and the little girls were very cute..I read that they were wearing J Crew coats, I thought they looked adorable!

I thought she looked absolutely stunning. She is a very beautiful, intelligent woman. It shows in everything about her. She will be an awesome First Lady.
I cannot wait to see what gown she wears tonight.

Why? Not being snarky. I've just heard that a lot but no one actually says why. She has some pretty big shoes to fill.

I hated it! I wanted her to wear red or purple...and something fitted. That suit made her look much bigger than she is. She's a cool lady; I expected her to make a statement with her outfit.

I think that Michelle Obama is a very intelligent, down to earth, warm, loving, sincere, honest, trust worthy woman. She loves her family. She puts her children's needs in front of anything else. She seems very "normal". Not awe struck with the power associated being married to the President of the United States. She's definately a "team player". Her and Barrack are a team. I think she will teach some of the wives of political big wigs how a "lady" acts. She is definately a lady.

Yes, she certainly has big shoes to fill, but she is not Laura Bush. I loved Laura Bush. They are two entirely different women.

I thought she looked absolutely beautiful. Would I have looked good in that color? NO WAY! I would have looked like a short round lemon. But on her, it was very striking.

There were millions of people standing very far away. There were jumbo cams. That color dress made her stand out in a crowd. I thought it was a very good choice.
