Smile What's up other than politics???

Wow - there's about 100 threads on politics-related topics! Calgon, take me away..... Why, oh, why did the Politics board close before this historic event.

Anyone want to use this thread to talk about something, ANYTHING, else??

Did something positive or funny that happened to you today? Please post!

I got an e-mail from DS1 saying he had a good day of classes first day of the second semester).....
and one of my employees had a new proposal accepted today by a body of real critics!!

Nothing positive...sorry. I'm avoiding anything political today.

Been working on my business stuff to do taxes...ugh. Love making the money, hate paying the 28% self employment tax....BLEH!

Got my business credit card number stolen. Have no idea how. I'm thinking a site I used got hacked or something. I found out by Apple calling me to confirm the $2300 order I made. Uh, my DH works for HP, so I wouldn't be buying an Apple I told them as much. Called my CC company and canceled and asked for a new card to be rushed to me. So, I go into today to pay my bill and check the new transactions since Friday (when I canceled) and see 3 more transactions *I* didn't make to Sears and Old Navy online. So, have to call again and find out I have 23 pending transactions...none of which I made. Over 5K. So I have to wait for paperwork to fill out and sign. I haven't dealt with this before...ugh.

But it's like 70 degrees out today and not a lot of wind so I can't complain about that

Sexysmurf - I'm with ya on the SEP tax! It really takes a hunk out of our profits!

And I'm sorry to hear about your CC problems. We had that happen once, at a B & M store, and it took months to get everything taken care of. I hope yours goes smoother.

Well..lets see...I got up early and started the pellet stove since it was about 3 degrees outside. Then I went to work at a local High School. Had several students come into the office sick (seems the flu is hitting hard). One student didn't make it to the bathroom in time. My daughter came home from middle school with a bad headache and is in bed resting. I just got done lifting weights and put a pork roast in the oven for dinner. Now, I am checking my mail and the boards and enjoying a nice hot cup of blackberry tea, and eating a fiber one bar. I bet after reading this....politics seems exciting!

I finished reading David Cassidy's memoirs this morning. I had stopped when I got to a part of the book that kind of hurt me. Then I picked it up at 1 am when I woke up and could not go back to sleep. It's a really good book if you want to see what makes him tick and how his life as a teen idol really was.
