Your Hair~Enhanced or Natural?

Do you color, perm, blow dry, straighten?

Along the same lines, what do you think of surgery?

I do color, blow dry and straighten my hair. When I have had two jobs I go to the salon for coloring that has been over a year so I do it myself. I love that Perfect 10 it only takes 10 minutes, completely covers gray (not that I have any hmhm) and looks really good.

As for surgery I always thought I would not but I could use some removal of skin and cottage cheese as in the last three years I have lost a total of about 80 lbs. I could also use some removal of the wrinkles around my eyes. I have spent too darn much time smiling and laughing and now I am paying for it!

ETA~I always say I look good yes-thanks to paint, dye, spackle, elastic, and prayers!

Last year after the ex and I split, I got wild and had my hair dyed and highlighted!! The beautician chose the colors, since I hadn't been to a salon in years. The base was a nice medium brown and the highlights were a caramel brown. It was very nice and natural looking.

Surgery... hmmmm.... last year I lost 75lbs. When I lose more and get to a nice weight.. my Dr has suggested skin removal surgery for me. It scares and excites me at the same time.

Never ever have I ever colored, permed or done anything else to my hair involving chemicals aside from shampoo or conditioner. I don't even own a curling iron or hair drier.

Last year I seriously contemplated a color change but then decided against it...My sister straightened my hair once ( after lots of begging I finally caved)..but usually I just wash and condition then let my hair air dry.

As far as cosmetic surgery, lazers, or skin removal I could never do any of that. I have serious distrust issues when it comes to allopathic medicine and doctors in general...I avoid at all costs.

I have highlights added once in a while but not regularly and no all over color. I do blow dry my hair. Cosmetic surgery -- no way. I'm accepting of the fact that I'll look just like my mother someday and, oh well!
Congrats to you ladies who have lost so much weight. That is wonderful!

Right now I have natural highlights, and I pay for them every 10 weeks or so.
I blow dry and occasionally use hot rollers and a curling iron.
Over the years my hair has been every color of the rainbow. The green was a mistake but the pink wasn't. Hey it was the 80's.

As far a surgery, I'm a little freaky about being put under, but I wouldn't mind a little lasering on the face and a little tightening under the chin.
Also it would me nice if the girls would look someone in the eye without the help of an industrial strength bra.

I dye my hair. I just did it over the weekend but it came out way too reddish. I grabbed reddish brown by mistake instead of my usual dark brown. So I may dye it again this weekend. It is kind of growing on me tho so I may just wait until the grey starts showing before I dye it again.

I don't curl or blow dry or anything like that, just wash and brush. My daughter straightened my hair for me once. It isn't really curly, just has natural waves in it.

I would love to get a tummy tuck and a boob lift. IF I can ever lose this baby tummy, I had 8 kids, I will look into getting some surgery. I'd love to have flashable boobs, not that I would flash anyone, just would love to be that confident in mine Right now mine are sad and droopy

I permed my hair when I was in high school & college years ago when the "permed look" was in in the 80's.

I highlighted my hair for a couple years, but didn't like the money it cost in up-keep.

I wash, dry & curl it every day.

I would never have cosmetic surgery. I wouldn't feel comfortable going "under" and risk side effects for something voluntary like that. JMO. I've worn glasses since 3rd grade and am too scared to have lasik!

I only color my hair, about twice a year. Other than that, I just wash, condition and let it air dry.

I wouldn't mind a tummy tuck, boob lift and some laser on my face, but I could never justify the expense, so it's never gonna happen.

Dye my hair every 6 weeks. This summer I let it "go". I was out in the sun way too much and was afraid the color would grab the light hair. My hair was sooooo gray by September. I would love to have salt and pepper gray but no such luck.

Yup I do color and foil my hair. I don't do anything elso for me so this is my splurge. No perm as I am naturally curly. Own a staightener but only straighten on occaision. Own a 1" curling iron to soften my naturally curly hair. I feel when you think your hair looks right you feel so much better about yourself. I really hate those really bad hair days.

Right now for special occassions I will dry and curl my hair. The past perm really did a bad job and right now I won't perm again so no curls and no hold. Currently my hair is it natural color but I am feeling the need for some red to show back up.

The only surgery i would consider (today) is something for my hands. I have my mothers hands, wrinkled and fat fingers. I'll take the fat but I could do with less wrinkles.

Then again I'm still on a high from getting hit on by a young man - he was just a bit older than my 23 year old. So after that wears off everything will be fair game.

I color. But right now I keep my hair cut so short that I don't have the need for drying, curling, straightening, etc.

In the 80's I did the whole "big hair" thing w/ perms, blow dry, curling iron and Aqua Net hairspray.

Surgery? Well, if I decide I need it I would do it.

I put on makeup most every day, I do my own acrylic nails. I am a girly-girly that likes to dress nice, look nice and smell nice just about every day regardless of whether I'm going to work or to Wal-Mart!

As far as my hair goes, I just wash and go. I have curly hair so no need to curl it, I just clip it back so it's out of my eyes. I'm trying to see how long I can get it before it drives me nuts, it's almost down to my lower back right now.....my goal is to get it to my arse and then I'll probably chop it off and donate it. But we'll see, dh likes my hair long, he loves it when I put it in a french braid.

The only surgery I'd have is lipo on my back thighs, a nose job (I have always hated my nose) and just a little something to make my girls a bit perkier. They are plenty big enough, just sitting a tad on the low side.

Yes, I color my hair. If I didn't, it'd be totally gray and no way am I ready for that at 38! I have it re-touched every 4 weeks. I blow dry and flat iron it each morning.

Surgery, I'm not sure. I really have mixed feelings about it.

Curly hair that I sometimes curl more, sometimes straighten.

Hightlight foils every season.

Other than that, nothing.

Marilynk, is it hard doing your own nails? My real nails are so soft they never grow, I would love to be able to do my own.

I tried coloring my hair for the fun of it a few years ago, but it got really dried out, so I quit. Since then, I just wash and air dry. I've begun to get some gray, so one of these days I'll probably try again with my new, better, salon.

Surgery? Probably not, but only because I've had so much surgery for health reasons that I've had my fill.

I get my hair highlighted at a salon every three or four months. Its getting expensive, so I am thinking about trying to do it myself. I occasionally use a curling iron, but rarely blow dry my hair. I have very thin hair, so it takes a lot of mouse and hairspray to get it to look right. I would love full/curly hair. Both my daughter have beautiful full hair (they got it from their dad). I had very short hair for years, but for the past eight years I have medium shoulder length hair and its starting to drive me crazy...

I have highlights and color done about every 3 months. On Sundays or other weekdays where I'm going to church or lunch I use a flat iron to give myself the flippy messed up look.

Hair: completely natural - red w/ grey highlights. I do blowdry but that is it.

Surgery: I'd be first in line if someone would pay for it! I could never justify that much money for cosmetic surgery but I'd love to have lipo on my thighs, thigh lift & tummy tuck.

I do color my hair. I don't like the gray. I got mad at DH for coloring his. I love him with the gray hair, but he hates it. I occasionally blow dry my hair, but not often.

As for surgery......hmmmm....Not thrilled by it, but I would love to have the girls made smaller and a bit (ok a lot) perkier. Gravity and getting older stinks!

I have to color my hair about every 6 weeks, or I have grey shining, eek!!
I try not to wash it but like every 3rd day though, and do it at night so it can air dry , to try and not dry it out anymore than it already is.

It's funny because I color it an auburn shade , and my baby has little red ringlets , and people say all the time "Oh he's lucky, he got your hair"!! I just smile and say thanks! We really have no idea where his red came from , we both naturally have brown hair.

I also roll my hair everyday on big hot rollers, straightens it out but gives it body too.

I have had my nose done, and if I had it to do all over again I don't think I would have.
