What makeup do you like?

I bought some Avon makeup a while back and I am not really happy with it, especially the mascara. It's so thin, and you have to put on 12 coats to notice a difference.

Also, do you curl your eyelashes? I never have, but I have started thinking about doing it. Does it hurt?

Sometime I curl my eye lashes ....when I get all girlied up. It only hurts if you catch your eye lid in the curler. LOL. Everyone has to do it at least once to know to be careful. You eye waters up after and can smear your eye make up. :-p

I love makeup. I have a big trip planned for Friday to go to Sephora. Some of my favorites are:

Foundation and powder - Bare Minerals
Lipstick - Stila Plumping Lip Glaze
Mascara - DiorShow or YSL Volum Effets in burgundy
Eyeshadow - Tarte Lock & Roll

I also love those makeup kits with everything in one, I have tons of them and have a great time playing.

And yes, I use an eyelash curler. It definitely makes a difference in how my eyes look. My eyelashes seem to disappear without it, even after I put on mascara unless I curl them. And no, it doesn't hurt at all.

Have fun,
Renee

I use Rimmel foundation, Physician's Formula mineral powder, Almay concealer, JANE blush, Cover Girl Lash Blast Mascara, Eyebrow pencil and wax grooming stick from Sally's don't know the brand, and Sally Hansen Diamond Lip Gloss. I have different eye shadows from Maybelline, Rimmel, Revlon. I buy my stuff mostly at Walgreen's always on sale hopefully with coupons on top of that. Walgreen's and Rite Aid have B1G1F on at least one brand each week.

I guess if I were rich I MIGHT try more expensive stuff but I look pretty darn good with "drugstore" makeup!

I just started using the minerals make up a couple months ago.

I started with L'Oreal, which was VERY nice. Now I graduated to bare escentuals. I like 'em both! While they're both very very light on the skin (with great coverage), I think the bare escentuals is just a bit lighter feeling. I probably won't stay with the "Club", as it's just too much make up for me (and I do wear it almost every day!), I'll probably try to find what I like from that collection on eBay.

For the rest of the make up, it's whatever I like at the time. I have noticed though, if you have a great foundation, you can wear about any brand on top. Since using the mineral foundation, my blush and eyeshadows look better. I generally use Revlon, Maybelline or L'Oreal.

I curl my eyelashes, too. But I've been doing it for so long, I don't hurt anything anymore. The only thing that hurts from time to time is when an eyelash wants to grow in the opposite direction.

Does Burt's Bees lip balm count? That's all I wear. (I can't stand the feel of make-up. I think I have one of those sensory processing disorders. I can't stand the seam in socks or tags in the back of my shirts, either!)

Wink

Have been using only clinique for years now and once and in a while I will throw in some loreal . I have not worn concealer or face powder in about 24 years. I only like earth tones for blush or lipstick and I love love eyeliners I like all colors except black and I love love all shades of blue I am the blue girl. And then finish off with a bit of mascara I can do this in about 5 or 6 minutes. I have been using oil of olay make-up remover and face creme to start and finish. Peace. Catherine

I wear Bare Minerals foundations, bisque, blush and shadows and have for about 6 years or so. I just started wearing Maybelline Colassal Volum' Mascara, prior to that I wore Maybelline Great Lash mascara and I still really like it. I wear Ulta eye liners.

I am not a "make up" girl.

I love my Clinique as well..feels so soft on my face. Avon has some good products, but their nail polish is horrible ! Goes on thin and clumpy after awhile..ugh...

I started using Bare Minerals just at Christmas. I really like it. I went to JC Penney, and had them apply it the first time so I could see how to do it.
It feels really nice on your face and looks natural.

I use Clinique

I don't wear foundation or blush, but the lipstick does not make my lips "act up." I have oily skin (actually, it's more combination now that I've gotten older), and I use their Super Defense. I am looking for some eye cream, as now that I'm running outside in the cold, my eyes are starting to chafe underneath -- very unpretty.
Any of you gals using Clinique have pointers on an eye cream? Has anyone tried that new Comfort on Call?

I use Bare Minerals and really like the foundation, warmth, and mineral veil. I use Loreal eyeshadow, clinique lipstick in sassy spice, and merle norman mascara in brown/black. I've also used the Almay eyeshadows. These all work for me.

I feel like I my lashes are nonexistent without curling them and 2-3 coats of mascara.

Lips are gone too without lipstick.

Who am I kidding? If I don't fix my hair and put on my makeup everyday I feel like crap! Well ,at least, I feel better!
