A great story but only partially true. Snopes has the whole thing and it is even better. snopes.com: Kurt Warner Tale

Wow. That's great, though it's plain weird that the Snopes article implies that Catholics are not Christians. (I'm neither, so I don't really care, but it struck me as odd.)

It says he embraced his Christianity. This doesn't imply that Catholics are not Christian -- they are, it just simply states that he embraced his Christianity. I am Catholic -- born and raised but I didn't truly embrace my faith for my own until I was in my late twenties. That's my take on it - whether he's Catholic or another denomination of Christianity isn't the point. It's a lovely story -- both versions and thanks for posting it OP -- it had me teary eyed.

annadrose thanks so much for posting a truly inspriing story and it goes to show all of us there are truly wonderful caring people out there. Sometimes we all need to read a story as such to put things into their proper prospective. Peace. Catherine
