Federal Tax Refund Deposit Schedule?

Does anyone have a link to the tax refund deposit schedules? Just curious, I know it was posted here the last few years. It is NOT the place on IRS site that you input your amount, etc and it tells you - this is just a grid that says if you filed by xyz date you can expect your refund to be direct deposited on xyz date (also had a date for checks to be mailed think)

I don't know accurate it is- my return was accepted by the irs on 1/18 so it should be coming today. Last week the where's my refund link said direct deposit should be by 2/3 - I checked again last night and it has changed to 2/10. According to the schedule-it should be here today since I filed before 11am on 1/22.
Has this happened to anyone else? I'm hoping they are just behind or something. I double checked my info again and it is right so I don't think that should hold it up. I know it's only an extra week but still had plans for it this weekend.

I had problems on the online site. It said 3 days ago that mine was already direct deposited, but when in fact it wasn't. I called them and they said they was having issues and the first run of direct deposits was today. I got mine this morning.

Ok the IRS is having major issues processing returns this year involving the Stimulus payments especially if you are getting additional money or you input the wrong amount of your stimulus payment. Therefore they are having to process these returns differently which is slowing the whole direct deposit schedule down. Then they had a glitch in the online and phone system of "Where's My refund" System which was telling everyone their money was Deposited on 1/23 and if its not in their accounts by the 28th to call them back. I tell you this year it has been a nightmare already they have changed their minds repeatedly on how to handle the additional Recovery Rebate Credit where they have the glitch and how they were handling the returns of those with wrong Stimulus Check Amounts on them until they made the stimulus tool available online again. It truly this year does not pay to be "People" this year I have spent more time on the phone with the IRS and clients than I did all of last year.

I can only imagine the nightmare next year for any stimulus plan that may benefit us or even the new Home-Buyers Credit that can be taken this year which is repaid over 15 yrs, the IRS truly dropped the ball this year and this was the latest they have started accepting returns in about 10 years also.

I didn't have any problems getting my return and i qualified for he rebate and got the additional money. All they said was the site was wrong and the first direct deposits was scheduled to go out on friday. I got it this morning with no issues. I really don't think people are going to have problems receiving them. Don't panic yet.

This schedule has been accurate for me and all of my family the past 5 yrs or so that I have been referencing it. The where's my refund link has never been right for me, I usually have my deposit a week or so ahead of when it says it will be there. Did you check your bank account?

Also, just so everyone notes, it's not when you filed, but rather when your return was accepted. For instance I filed last night, but my federal return was not accepted until early this morning, and my state return accepted later today.

Of course I checked my account- probably about 5 times. I went and looked on yahoo answers and it seems like this is happening to a bunch of people. The refund dates change overnight to a week later than what they originally said. I feel lucky that mine only says an extra week- there are some people who's refund date changed until 2/24

Mine was accepted on 1/18 by the IRS -that's why I was wondering what was going on. I knew it went by the accepted date. The IRS is messing up big this year that's for sure.

I'm jealous! Ours was accepted on 1/18, the chart said it should be deposited on 1/30, the "where's my refund link" now says it should be deposited 2/10 :-(

I find this great interest in the exact date that tax refunds are available quite fascinating. It's just something that I personally have never given a minute's thought to.....I learn something new about people and their differences every day. I assume that everyone is waiting for their refund in order to pay a bill or buy something special???

In our case the avid interest this year comes from DH's employer cutting back on what they pay in for health insurance (we now pay $80 more each week) combined with DH's employer just cutting them back to 3 day weeks with 2 days unemployment. Since I get payed every two weeks (and we won't see any unempolyment checks for at least a month), this coming week we will have ZERO dollars for food and gas. So, yes, I am quite anxious to get our tax return.

We always have plans for our refund. Usually it is to pay some bills but we always do something fun. We are going to see our two grandsons in Texas in about 1 1/2 weeks. The second one was born Jan. 7. I would like to buy a few presents for them, my son (whose birthday is Mar. 2) and a present for their wedding anniversary.

Do we have to report the stimulis payment we got in 2008??? Do they send us a W-2 or something??? I can't remember what we got, and haven't looked at a tax return yet............

You can find the amount of your stimulus check from last year at this link from the IRS.
How Much Was My 2008 Stimulus Payment Home

"You'll need to have the amount of your Stimulus Payment from last year so you can figure out whether or not you're eligible for the Recovery Rebate Credit."

Seems like it is a way that some people that might have not received the full amount or none at all might be able to claim it now.

Every year around this time, conversations and message boards start to have numerous posts about this. I am with you (believe it or not, we agree again) in not seeing the obsession with it. The refund will happen when it does.

Further, I've never wanted to receive a refund. I see it as then I have let the government use my money all year when I could have been using it myself. I'd rather pay come April 15th and know I've used MY money all year. People can't see that, they think it's a big deal to get money back, I see it as having lost money.
