I joined Facebook about 2 weeks ago at the urging of a friend. Within a few days I re-connected with several long-ago high school friends. The biggest shocker was when my very best friend growing up contacted me! I haven't spoken to him in about 10 years. I have so enjoyed looking at all the pictures and sharing long ago memories.

I have both have had my Myspace for I guess 3 years now and Facebook maybe a year. I love it I have really connected with some people on both places I never thought I would "see" ever again in my life including my first boyfriend who I have found out still carries a huge torch for me after all these years ! I am able to keep track of my "Adopted" kids from the wrestling board I used to moderate that is now closed and watch them grow and mature and give me lots of "Adopted" grandbabies of which I now have 3 and 2 on the way.

If anyone wants to see me and my crazy life PM me for the addy's.

I have both, but really don't like myspace at all. I'm 44 years old and my sisters think i'm too old for this, then why are all my friends my same age on too? I could see if I was hanging out with all the kids, but I'm not. I connect with my young nieces and nephews on there, but most of my friends are from high school and college.

I have both facebook and myspace. I think the younger you are the better chance your friends will be on too. I am 50 and I don't find that many people on it the graduated from my high school the same year I did. I do have more friends on facebook then I ever had on myspace. A couple are friends that found me but most of them are from a board I have posted on for years. I am still trying to get the hang of facebook. I hope you have fun on it.

I just got into facebook last night cause some of my geocacher buddies are members. Got myslef into that stupid egg hunt application and now collected 175 eggs since yesterday. omg I'm boreing! I have high school friends and a friend that went to school with my parents who was police chief of the small town they grew up in for awhile.

I just signed up for Facebook not that long ago. I had done MySpace but I didn't care for it much and deleted it. I don't know why I get this feeling, but I feel like MySpace is more for kids/teenagers and Facebook is more for adults.

I set up a Facebook, but I don't get a chance to check it very often. I have reconnected with many of my high school friends..

I much prefer Facebook. I like that "the world" can't see 'me'... and that I know exactly who CAN see 'me', since nobody can see my Facebook page unless we have acknowledged one another as 'friends'. I also like the fact that on Facebook, I can see what my friends are doing (since their updates feed through my Facebook page) and I don't have to go clicking around to check up on them.

The fact that 'friending' is required sort of forces people to make a connection. With MySpace, I wouldn't have known who was doing a drive-by viewing of my stuff, and with Facebook, you know. There are people from my past I wouldn't have ever struck up a cyber conversation with had I not been 'forced' to 'friend' them in order for them to see what's up with my life... and I've been blessed by many of those re-connecting episodes.

I have both. I am a teacher, too, but there is nothing there that could not be seen by my students(they are 6, so I doubt they will be there anyway).

On facebook you can set your profile to private and only friends (you choose)can see your profile. If I was a teacher I wouldn't add my students or their parents as friends on my FB account, you have a private life and you shouldn't have to let your work in if your don't want to.

Does anyone know if there is a way to post pics to your albums without them posting to the homepage also??

I have both. Seem to be using Facebook more. Reconnected with some people I graduated high school with. I think I check My Space maybe 1-2 time a week.

i have both but have had myspace longer and i think myspace is easier to use. On myspace I have my profile blocked to just friends. So unless i add you, you cant see my profile you can only see my default pic and my mood.

You can set your profile on private on facebook too. Just go to Settings, its in the blue bar at the top of the screen. Go to Privacy and you can decide who sees what in your profile. My profile and my pics are only open to my friends.
