I just got back. I spent about an hour in two different areas. One place was the lake right down the street from us and the other was Saddle Creek State Park located in Lakeland. That's about 10 miles from where I live.
In that hour I saw 17 different species of birds for a total of 156 in all. The most unusual sightings were a little blue heron, a flock of about 60 black vultures

and a muscovy with her babies.
I'm hoping I'll spot at least one new species during the weekend. We're going up to Disney on Sunday. Can I count Donald Duck?
