I am a Taurus, a wife, a mother. I am a grieving daughter, having lost my mom. I am recovering from surgery. I'm an office manager, and a part time house cleaner (for other folks). I am owned by a retired police dog named Ziras, who is currently dying of lymphoma. I am a mate in the summer for my husband's charter fishing business. I am a genealogist. I am a friend and a sister. I'd say that I'm a niece, but I really don't keep up with extended family. I am lonely and bored (at the present time).

I am a chocolate lover and a coffee lover. My favorite food is Japanese and I wish I could learn how to cook it well. My favorite color is orange, and my favorite number is 13. I dream of winning the lottery. I dream of being a home owner. I dream of traveling. I dream of having my mom back. I hope that my kids will be successful. I am a Gemini. I can be stubborn (the Swede in me) when needed. I am a wife to a pretty good guy, and mother to 2 girls and a yellow lab. I hate living in NY, and would jump at the chance to live someplace else (ie WARMER). I wish I could play the piano as well, even tho I own a baby grand. I have been at the same job now for 18 years, must be I like it. I live in the country and would NEVER go back to living in the city EVER. I like to garden (veggies and flowers) but hate to clean the house. I love drinking mudslides, but give me a good Merlot and I'd drink the whole bottle. I don't eat a lot of red meat, but look out when I get a craving for a juicy cheeseburger. (usually happens every few months) I am also a BIG Lucille Ball fan, I could watch reruns of I Love Lucy every day and never ever get tired of them. I love camping and can't wait for warmer weather so we can open up our trailer and get ready for summer. I can't drive a stick shift. Tried twice and ended up in tears both times. I cannot draw or paint, but can write in Calligraphy quite well. I am self taught in cake decorating, and have had a wedding cake published in a wedding magazine. This year I will be making the biggest wedding cake I have ever done, 300+ people. I'm nervous and excited at the same time.

Oh, how I wish we had something like that here!!! We do have a community college about 45 minutes away...maybe I'll have to suggest a class like that. What a terrific idea!

Thanks, sweetie. He's truly a wonderful guy. He was 8 in December. He dropped 20 pounds in three weeks over the summer, and the local vet couldn't figure out what was going on. My best friend and I drove him three hours away to the UNC Vet Hospital where they discovered the lymphoma. The local papers heard about him and did a story, and we received enough donations (Ziras was a police dog in our county, so he really means a lot to our community) to be able to put him through four months of chemo. Unfortunately, he relapsed New Year's Eve. He relapsed so quickly after going into remission, the vets don't believe it's in his best interest to begin chemo again. While he doesn't seem to be in pain right now, he's doing a LOT of sleeping and somehow, I get the feeling that he's just hanging on waiting for me to get better so that he can continue on his journey. I'm really going to miss him. He has been a joy to our family.
