Speaking of Working Out

I recently received these three DVDs from Amazon.com
Amazon.com: :08 Min Core Workouts: Abs, Arms, Thighs, Buns and Stretch: 8 Minute Core Workouts: Abs Arms Thighs Buns & Str: Movies & TV
Amazon.com: :08 Min Pilates: Basic, Intermediate and Advanced: 8 Minute Pilates: Basic Intermediate & Advanced: Movies & TV
Amazon.com: 10 Minute Solution: Blast Off Belly Fat: Suzanne Bowen, Andrea Ambandos: Movies & TV

in a special package for $30.47. Before I ordered them I read all the reviews and they are all good. I have used two of them so far and I can certainly feel it.
It's easy in that they go in segments.

The :08 Minute one has segments for arms, thighs, buns, abs, and stretch so it goes for a full 40 minutes but seems not that long as you do it in segments.

All three DVDs have beginner, advanced, and intermediate.

If you are looking to get started or to bump it up a notch this might be for you.

Just wanted to say that your local library probably has exercise DVDs to check out. You can maybe try out an exercise plan before you buy it. That way you'll know if it is for you. Our library has bit of everything: pilates, yoga, Tae Bo (sp?), core workouts, etc.

You don't want to waste money these days!

That being said, am I exercising????? Heck no. Do I need to???? Heck yes!

I've never gotten into the whole video working out thing. I got "The Firm" and it just didn't do it for me. I should list them on craigslist! My hubby and I are working towards races. He's getting ready for Robie Creek (half marathon - 8 miles of it are uphill), and I'm getting ready for my first 10K this May, then come October I'll attempt my first half. We are doing a modified version of the FIRST training plan. We do run more than it says to, because 3 days a week isn't enough for me. Anyone want to be a training buddy?

If you just need someone to boss you around sure lol but if you are looking for a running partner sorry I can't hack running I find it unpleasant. I really do prefer the exercises. But I can drive behind you yelling at you if that will help!

Anna,
That would be SO helpful to drive behind me and cheer me on(that's what you meant by yelling, right?). I could use it! Have you really, really, really tried running? I HATED it at first, but I love it now. Actually I love how it makes me feel... Not quite the same thing though.

What Firm DVD's do you have? I'm a Firm junkie and might be interested in them if you're going to get rid of them...

I have all three, Body Sculpt, Cardio Sculpt, and Ab sculpt. Ab sculpt has a slight crack in the middle, but it works great still. The others are in great condition. Let me know. You can pm me.

I love to run. There is nothing that makes me feel better than a good run.

I actually look forward to it, and if I don't do it, I feel depressed and my body doesn't feel right. They say that the adrenaline that one receives from running is similar to a good high. I wouldn't know though, I have never been high artificially.

I hate to run, but I do like how it makes me feel. I haven't been running since before I broke my foot last year. My goal is to slowly work back up to that. I love video's/DVD's. They are the only reason I ever did anything over the last almost 14 years. With so many kids it was always hard for me to get away to do anything else. With the kids I could pop in a DVD and just work around the kids. My favorite still are my Tae-Bo DVD's. I have some of The Firm too, but they are still in the shrink wrap. Might have to give them a try........

Wow after using these DVDs for less than one week I can tell you that I will be two sizes smaller soon. I can feel everything going in and my muscles are ting ling a lingling.

Go for it! Whichever way you like or you can at least put up with and you will feel better in no time. I swear I feel stronger and younger than I did when I actually was 24.
